I knew about primer but never wanted to spend as much as the good brands cost so I decided to try this. For as cheap as it was, if I didn't like it, I didnt waste too much. I have many other ELF products and I love most of them. I tried the primer and liner sealer on a day I was staying home and decided to use it early in the day and see how it looked at the end of the day. I usually have to fix or reapply my shadow or liner within 2 hours without any primer. My shadow lasted all day without any creasing and my eye liner did too. I do not use pencil liner though because frankly, its horrible. I use the gel liner. I was very happy with this product. Though my shadow was faded a bit after the whole day of wear, it wasnt smudged under my eyelid like it usually does and wasnt creased. I think the primer also aided in keeping it matte. I hate oily eyelids! For the price of this stuff, it is pretty great. I have only tried one other eyeshadow primer, I dont recall the brand as it was years ago, but it was drying and made my eye shadow seperate. I will be using this forever. Usually my eye-shadow will begin to 'crease' after 2 or 3 hours of wear and that just drives me crazy! I have found with the elf primer that the eye-shadow definitely stays on longer, I would say 6 or 7 hours before it starts to crease. I haven't used the sealer part of the stick yet though. I purchased this based on lots of rave reviews of the eyeshadow primer/base/whatever. The consistency is a little sticky/tacky and the color is yellowish. It's similar to NYX eyeshadow base, and both are just OK. I have very oily eyelids and by mid-day, my shadow ends up in the creases of my lids. I prefer the e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer and regular e.l.f. Eyeshadow Primer. For whatever reason, those just work better. Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? It can be used with eyeshadow to make any color eyeliner. Very easy to use. Amazing price for such an innovative product.
