I was looking for something for my daughter's dry, straight, fine hair that's prone to breakage. We try to minimize the number of times she washes her hair, because it gets so dry, but her scalp gets oily 2 days after washing. I use Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion, which I like just fine, but she hates the smell. The Suave dry shampoo smells cheap and strong like Aqua Net, so I've been on a mission to find a dry shampoo that works on her fine hair without having a really offensive smell. This smelled okay, I guess, but it doesn't work as a dry shampoo at all! Her scalp was oily before we used it. This made her hair more shiny, greasier even, and her hair was even flatter after use of this. It did not absorb any excess scalp oil at all. Good thing we tested this out before she was due for a real shampoo, because she still needed to wash her hair after this! Batiste is still the best dry shampoo. Batiste DOES leave a powdery residue, but that's necessary to absorb the excess oils on your scalp. You should only be spraying dry shampoo on your scalp, not throughout your hair and never on the ends. You need to part your hair at 1 inch intervals, spray the dry shampoo on, work it into your roots, and move on to the next section. More powdery residue means it takes more time to work into your roots, but a good dry shampoo should give you body, take away the flat, greasiness on your scalp, and leave your hair smelling fresher without feeling or looking like it has a dirty residue. This doesn't really have any powdery residue at all, but if you don't like the powder, dry shampoo may not be for you. Bottom line, this didn't buy one more day without washing -- it made hair greasier.

I wash my hair 3-4 times per week, and this perfect for in between washes. I had been using Suave simply because of the price, but this product is so much better. I feel like I am getting more out of the can, and the scent isn't overpowering at all. It makes my hair soft and completely takes out all the oil! I constantly touch my hair (especially around my face), and being blonde, dirt and oil are super visible. This dry shampoo gets rid of it - even if I'm lazy and use it 2 days in row :) LOVE!

This is by far the greatest dry shampoo I've used, and I have tried many. Living in North Florida, it's gets miserably humid. I have full-on bangs (like Feist bangs) and they are the first to go on a hot day. Also my forehead gets oily and that transfers to my bangs. It's bad.

So far, all the dry shampoos I've tried have either not worked, smelled too strong, run out in like two weeks, and/or leaves this white residue I have to work into my hair and wipe off my surroundings. Ehh.

This product does none of the above. It is crazy effective in making it look like I just washed and dried my hair, smells good but not overwhelming, it's a fine and even mist that leaves not white residue, and is quite inexpensive. PERFECT!

Don't waste your money. This is the worst dry shampoo I have ever used. It is utterly ineffective and leaves my hair greasier than before using it. No matter how little I use, it leaves a white film. The smell is also overpowering. I would not recommend this to anyone and I will certainly not be buying this again.

I have sensitive oily hair and this product didn't work for me.I applied it and my hair felt very stiff. It was the strangest feeling. All day my hair felt nasty and even looked unclean. Maybe I will give this product a chance another chance another time but for now not a chance

I honestly didn't think I would find a dry shampoo that I liked better than the Suave, especially for the price. But this one seems to work just as well, with two additional pros: The smell isn't nearly as strong as the Suave and the price is even cheaper.

I have oily roots but am prone to friziness at the ends from a perm that is growing out, so I like to wash my hair a maximum of three times a week to avoid excess friziness. This product was extremely easy to use, seems to have a lot in the can, and left my hair looking great. This was only the first time I've used it, so I will have to report back later on any scalp build up and how well it does on the third day (second consecutive usage without washing), and well as how long the can lasts. (A can of Suave tends to last me around a month)

Overall, I would absolutely recommend that you give this a try. Considering that similar products from name brands tend to cost at least three-four times as much as this does, it is worth giving it a shot. You may end up with a new favorite.

We've all heard not to wash our hair daily, but my hair was always so greasy by noon the next day, I couldn't stand it. I had tried other dry shampoos but they only gave me an extra few hours before I hated my hair. I bought this on a whim and love it! I'm down to 2 washes a week and in fact I prefer my hair when it's been dry shampooed and not washed. I spray a little at my roots, rub it in a bit, then spray over the length of my hair. I brush through, then style. This product plus the natural oils of my hair make curl look better and stay longer. I honestly now dread the days I have to wash my hair because this has made me love the "dirty" days so much!
