This is too drying for my face, I have mature dry skin, so I tried it as a bodywash and really like it a lot as a bodywash! It is so refreshing, has a refreshing citrus type scent, cooling sensation on the skin, and lathers a lot with my Buf Puf Body Sponge, drugstore.com also sells this. And it's natural and good price. It wakes you up when you use it! Not drying on body skin. Then after showering with it, I apply lotion. I also use the other Acnedote products, they all have a similar scent to them and seem to work well. I like that it has a high percentage of salicylic acid. God bless you all.

I love this cleanser! I have been using it daily for over a year now and my skin has improved greatly. This is a very effective and mild cleanser for my occasional acne breakouts, but I also have Rosacea and it has really helped manage those breakouts as well. I think it has anti-aging benefits, too with shrinking pores and refining skin texture. I'm close to fifty and I actually get compliments on my skin now. I bought it for a friend a few months ago and she loves it too! The smell is wonderful. Really fresh, kind of citrusy, and natural. I also use the alba botanical acne dote face and body scrub on my face and body - great exfoliating cleanser! Especially with the summer and warmer weather coming and more skin being exposed. Try it! The price is right and the bottle lasts a while.

The mint in the product seemed overwhelming and seemed to irritate my skin. I have other products in this line that seem to work great however.

I use this in the shower with a Clarisonic and it keeps my face blemish free. The smell is a bit strong, but it's a natural smell, so I don't mind it. I also use this on my décolletage to keep that skin smooth as well, and it's very effective.

It's been really difficult to find an effective product for my combination, sensitive skin which is still prone to frequent minor breakouts. Even "mild" cleansers like Neutrogena caused me a lot of irritation without eliminating my minor acne.
Using the AcneDote wash twice a day, however, really brought the situation under control: my skin is clearer, pimples very rarely show up any more, and I haven't had any of the serious, rashy irritations that the chemical products prescribed by my dermatologist caused me. I've used this product during a harsh Northeast winter, and it hasn't caused me problems. I do moisturize well after using it in the winter to prevent any weather-related problems from the minor dryness it can cause on the forehead and cheeks. Overall, a great, effective product which is free of those scary chemicals.

AMAZING cleanser for acne! I've had cystic acne for almost a decade now. no other cleanser, commercial or natural, has given me the results that this has! Within a week I've experienced less breakouts, severe acne is gone, my skin heals faster - I was so impressed and happy!
The only bad thing i can say about this is that it can be messy during application. the texture of this cleanser in your hands is like raw egg whites, and the snap-dispenser lets out too much and some products gets all over the bottle and the counter. Also, I wouldn't recommend this to dry/mature skin since it's really drying.
I probably won't purchase this again because there are a handful of ingredients that I'm not happy with in this formula :( sadly. But if you don't mind that, i DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this product!

After a lot of searching, this has become my everyday cleanser. I use it morning and night, in conjunction with other products. My acne-prone skin has improved significantly since I started using this product, but it's hard to say whether it is a direct result of this product or the combination of products I use. Regardless, I am very pleased with this cleanser and will continue to repurchase. I use other Alba products as well and can say that I trust this brand.

It is a gentle everyday wash but does not work at all for acne prone skin. The texture is too runny compared to gel washes and the smell is okay. It just didn't make a difference for me.

I recently realized that the Clearsil that worked on my face when I was 16 is not working for me 10 years later so I decided I needed to start using more natural products on my acne-prone skin. I purchased the AcneDote astringent, AcneDote deep pore wash, and the Alba Hawaiian Oil-Free Moisturizer. I use them together using the astringent only once during my night time routine. I'm not sure if all the products used together make a difference, but my skin is great and acne free. I work out twice a day so sweat and oily skin is a big issue for me. This has definately helped to clear my face.

I bought this product at [@]after struggling to find something that would keep my skin under control. I had a massive random breakout, and my old regimen just wouldnt help. I picked this stuff up, and WOW, it feels very tingly and nice, and it leaves your face feeling really cool and refreshed, even after you rinse. It says clearer skin in 7 days, but I noticed a major improvement in less than 3! Its cruelty free, organic, and free of harmful chemicals which is such a plus! Ive tried many things, and nothing has worked as well as this! Thanks Alba!
