I understand that cuticle trimmers can be razor sharp and perhaps that's a danger in and of itself, but, this particular Revlon tool is so dull that one has to press down far too much to achieve anything close to a desired result.
In my opinion, just like a kitchen knife, it's the dull tool that will end up causing an accident, and someone ends up with a nasty cut.
The cuticle trimmer I had previously was by another company (much less expensive I might add) and not stocked by drugstore.com
I will search for that brand again, and I would not re-purchase this item.

Revlon has definitely made some changes with this product over the years. The last cuticle remover I purchased is close to worthless, and the one before was awesome, but this one is much easier to use... once you figure out what you're doing.

It's hit or miss with this product. I've bought several, and sometimes you get a really good one that is sharp and does the job. Other times, it's dull, almost as though the sharp edges were bent, and it makes a mangled mess of cuticles. It's too bad I can't find a tool like this that is always sharp, because this type of tool works great - when it's SHARP!

As a guy I felt kind of stupid buying this, but my fingernails have always been gross. I would try pushing back the cuticles as I was instructed by my sister. But that looked just as bad. This thing is GREAT! First off, it's got a rubber-like coating in the handle. All you do is push your cuticles back, then run the angled V along them and it cuts off the cuticle skin. Very easy to use, doesn't hurt, and my fingernails look much better now!
