Ibuprofen is the most effective NSAID for me. I like this dye-free version, which seems to be as effective as any other version I've used. This is, for me, the most effective NSAID for my arthritis pain with the fewest associated side-effects. Notice that Aleve commercials do not compare themselves with ibuprofen -- just Tylenol.

I started buying this brand when the national brand had some serious quality control issues that made me uncomfortable. Now I always buy this brand and have never had a problem with it. Living in a larger household with lots of aches and pains going around, I go through a lot of this pain reliever. It works fine and is easy to swallow. The lid stays on nicely and doesn't come off in my handbag (unlike some other medications I have!). The cons - some people might wince that it's not a well-known brand, but I tell them that it's just as good! Another con is the fact that there are potential side effects, but on the plus side, everything is listed on the container, so you can decide for yourself if you want to use the product or not.

I take ibuprofen for specific pains - either muscle tightness or tissue inflammation. I have a really physical job, and some days I ache no matter how much I stretch and move. I was happy to find these tablets made free of dyes and coloring agents. I wish more consumers would demand products free from unnecessary ingredients that may actually be detrimental to their health.
