I was first diagnosed with diabetes in March, 2012. The doctor gave me a OneTouch blood glucose meter to get started, but I discovered that the supplies were almost twice as expensive as the TrueTest system, so I decided to try it since TrueTest offered a full rebate (which they promptly sent to me) on their meter.
After getting the TrueTest system, I discovered that it requires about 1/2 the blood that the OneTouch required which was a nice bonus, especially since I wasted a few OneTouch strips when I didn't have quite enough blood. I have had no such problems with the TrueTest.
