I have cotton turbie twists and they would always smell sour after one use. But these microfiber ones don't get sour. Yes they are thinner than the cotton ones, which I like because they are far lighter on my head. A little trick to help the hair twist better is to turn your head upside down in the shower that way all the hair can twist all the way up. The microfiber definitely removes excess moisture.

I originally got this as a gift a few years back, and I love it! It's easy to use, easy to dry and clean. I suggest it for people with short to medium length hair (mine is just a few inches below my shoulders) since it is not a super long product, though I don't think there would be much hassle for those with long hair. I use this thing every day and it's just a really nice and convenient product to have, and it is most certainly worth the price! You won't be disappointed!

I've been using Turbie Twists for years, I love them. My only complaint is the microfiber fabric. Some people love the microfiber, but I have found that when it goes through the wash, it collects whatever hair may have found its way into the laundry. I have 2 daughters and there is a lot of hair at our house. When I fold the turbie twists after they come out of the dryer, there are usually small "globs" of hair stuck to them. The old turbies used to be made of terry cloth, which I liked better. This new microfiber fabric, however, has not stopped me from purchasing turbie twists. Like I said, I love them. I rely on them, they are so much better than a big bulky towel!

I use the Turbie Twist towel every day. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about a big towel falling off my head. They are easy to use and very absorbent. I have seen other reviews that were not good on these and the only thing that I can think of is that these wouldn't work as well with super long hair. I have fairly short hair and I won't use anything else again.

It just doesn't work. I left it on for 15 minutes and my hair was completely damp still.

I have thick hair and this super absorbent hair towel can hold and dry my hair that there is no need for the big hair towel I used before. Loved 'em so that I bought more for myself and to give as gifts.
