I've looked for a long time for a product that would clear up my mild adult acne along my chin and jawline without wrecking my sensitive skin, and this is it. It's expensive, but it is a big bottle and you only need a pea-sized drop of it to to the job. It even takes off eye makeup too! Peter Thomas Roth products are really fabulous.

This wash is amazing. I've been using it for about a year now. I am a nearly 40 year-old man with acne-prone skin and this wash has helped my skin so much!

I've been using this cleanser for quite some time now. A little goes a long way, so a container lasts a good long time. Now that my skin's so much better, I only use it a few times a week. (I alternate with gentle, non-treatment type cleansers and simply a water-only rinsing and massage, depending on what my skin seems to need between treatments with this cleanser.) I put it on my dampened face for about 5 minutes, then gently remove it, either with my fingertips or with a gentle brush if I feel the need for a more thorough cleansing. (My brush is by Shiseido, but I hear baby brushes can do the same sort of thing.) This one's gentler, in my opinion, than the similar DDF Salicylic Wash.

I have combination acne prone skin and this completely dried it out! I used it for one week and my face was peeling everywhere. It cleared up some acne but wasn't worth it at all.

The thing with facial products is the amount of ingredients that are in it. Most preservatives, emollients, fragrance and the other important stuff thats supposed to be on the top of the list and not at the bottom or in the lower middle area of the ingredient list. This cleanser has it in what it needs and none of the other irritating stuff. The reason why you most likely see new developing acne is because they were under your skin waiting to come out; you couldn't see them but they were there!!! This cleanser doesn't have 20 ingredients, no fragrance and no irritating factors, just simple skincare to help bring out underlying acne and heal the ones that already exist. It's great!!!!

I tried my first bottle in December 2003. It's now mid-August and I can still push that first bottle till probably mid-September. You use a small amount that goes a long way. The cleanser has calmed my breakouts, leaves no residue, and doesn't dry my skin. Most acne aimed products are way to harsh and actually dry me out and make me look like a reptile. NOT this cleanser. It might seem a little expensive, but well worth it.
