It allows the use of canned/bagged coffee rather than buying individual K-Cups all the time. I would recommend this as an addition to regular K-Cup purchases. It does require emptying and rinsing between uses but well worth the effort. I find it works best making 6 oz. cups. More water than that and the brew is not strong enough for me. The downside is that you need to experiment with grinds to see which work best. Using pre-ground coffee from Starbucks I found that too many grounds got through. I found the Cafe Cup brand (4 pk for $9.99) and though a little bit flimsier, they actually worked better at about 1/3 the cost of Eko Brew. Cons Best Uses Comments about EkoBrew Refillable K-Cup For Keurig K-Cup Brewers, 1 ea: After severe disappointment with buying the Keurig brand K-cup (leaks like crazy, grounds in coffee etc) I am SO HAPPY I didn't give up the quest-The Ekobrew works without removing the whole section that Keurig Kcup needed. It pops in, seals tight, clean up is pretty easy. No leaks ever-been using for 2 weeks and ground-free coffee. Do yourself a favor and order one or two! Plus it is much less expensive as well. Just follow the directions on the box and use your favorite ground coffee. I will save so much money with this thing. I am the only coffee drinker in my family so I think I can retire my Bunn coffee maker. I haven't used it since I got the Ekobrew.
