I have thick, long, curly hair. This is a great heavy conditioner to use every day. The conditioner doesn't feel loaded with water. It rinses out great and I don't notice a residue. I have a sensitive sense of smell and a sensitive scalp. This conditioner has a great, light scent and it doesn't make my scalp itch. I believe the bottle says you can use it daily or once a week as a heavy conditioning treatment. I use it every day, whether or not I shampoo. I have never liked any other Paul Mitchell product. This one is spectacular.
