I have combination skin and was looking for an exfoliating scrub to use a few times a week. I like how this makes my skin feel, but it has a strong, unpleasant odor. There aren't any fragrances added, so maybe it just takes some getting used to, but the smell is pretty off-putting, in my opinion.

Nice product, doesn't smell great but not terrible either, should be used with a moisturizer, as it leaves me a little dry

I use the Smoothing Facial Scrub every morning for smooth texture and a nice glow. I follow with the Simple Soothing toner to soothe my sensitive, dry skin with red, dry patches. Next I use Andalou Naturals Fruit Stemcell serum with hyaluronic acid. This further smoothes the skin as well as to help heal the moisture barrier by pulling moisture to skin and keeping it. Next I moisturize with Simple Replenishing lotion, a silky, light lotion that my skin drinks up and loves! This regimen has worked the impossible with my skin!!!!!! Since about 6 months ago when I started, my skin has an smooth texture, even skin tone, healthier moisture barrier, less dry skin, and the red patches gone. The Simple skin care line is the best affordable line of products formulated especially for sensitive skin. I can't tell you how very pleased I am with the results of using these products!! Each of these products are under $20 and depending where purchased, under $15.
If you have dry, irratated, red skin I would most highly recommend the Simple skin care line to build your regimen. You will find as I did thses products will greatly help to soothe, soften, condition, moisturize, and help to heal your sensitive skin. I have sensitive skin with a combination of oily and dry. This cleanser exfoliates as it cleans and leaves my skin refreshed. It does not sting, dry out or feel greasy. Gives a good base to apply any lotion. I have noticed that a little goes a long way. I don't have to use much of it at all, about 3-4 different drops on my fingertip takes care of it. Left/right, nose and forehead. Any more than that makes the exfoliating rice granules a little too much on the skin. I also like how you only need to wet the face and rub. I hate using the "lather" type cleansers.

However I have noticed that it does have a funky smell, and I think a portion of it comes from the rice granules. Now I can't complain because it is as advertised, it's natural with no perfumes or dyes. I'd rather have that then having it masked by some nasty scent. It just takes a little getting used to.

This is a nice, gentle product. No harsh perfumes or dyes. Feels nice and silky on the skin. Doesn't dry out my skin at all.

I do wish there was a bit more exfoliating power in this product, and I could do without the mineral oil. Also, a quick search online uncovered that this company was purchased by Unilever, I believe, which I've read engages in animal testing.

Use products every evening. Doesn't upset my skin and the night moisturizer keeps skin fresh and dewy even in winter.
