This product made my dandruff flare up and itching got worse. Since then I have used T-gel and that works a 100 times better. This product deserves 10 thumbs down.

I have been suffering from telogen effluvium (temporary mass hair loss) with a dry, scaly scalp for the past 4 months. I tried Nizoral since Head & Shoulders just wasn't cutting it anymore, and after the first shampooing was amazed to find my scalp "normal" looking. This is a product that really stands up to its claims. Bonus: I don't know if it's just me, but it seems like it actually helps decrease my hair shedding.

Shampoos before this never really worked for me; dandruff usually appeared as soon as 3 hours after using them. Itching usually followed a day or two after. Nizoral (thankfully) quickly put that to an abrupt HALT. The itching completely stopped, and the dandruff for me was never seen again to this day (currently using for 2 weeks)! Price shouldn't be too much of an issue if the product is guaranteed to give you RESULTS, which is what Nizoral is all about. Highly recommended.

While this is an excellent product for dandruff and other scalp conditions, beware! I have my hair professionally dyed and Nizoral stripped the color right out. Surprisingly, the shampoo did not leave my hair in bad condition; it just ruined my expensive dye job. I still use Nizoral because it works so well, but just a couple of days before I have a scheduled appointment with my hair color specialist.

The effectiveness of anti-dandruff shampoos seems to vary a lot between people. That said, this has been the best-working one I've found, and smells a *lot* better than the tar-based ones.

This product has a wonderful scent. I am currently using it on recommendation from a dermatologist who instructed me to cleanse the areas of my skin with sebhorreic dermatitis. I was skeptical when I ordered this, especially because of the steep price, but did so out of desperation. Nothing had worked before on my dandruff for over 25 years and I've tried *everything*. And the first time I used the Nizoral, it seemed to do nothing. But I decided to be patient, thinking that perhaps it just took time. Four weeks later, I am amazed at the difference. I had very bad dandruff, and I wear a lot of dark, bright colors, so I spent a lot of time brushing off my shoulders, which was embarrassing. I haven't done that in at least two weeks now and am thrilled! I have used it every four days for four weeks now. I love how the Nizoral is not medicinal-smelling like most dandruff shampoos I've tried before, and it does not make my hair feel like straw. I would highly recommend it because it works! My only complaint is that I understand there is a conditioner that complements this shampoo, and I cannot find it anywhere, including drugstore.com.

It works. Don't be put off by the price - after using it everyday (initially) to rid yourself of any flaking you only need a small amount maybe once or twice a week - it really lasts. Use another less expensive dandruff shampoo in between like Suave. Nizoral has an agreeable scent as well - not at all medicinal.

My scalp in the winter is so dry and itchy it just about drives me crazy. I tried all the other dandruff shampoos and they left my hair like straw and my scalp still itching. The first time I used this product my hair was clean with no more itching or flaking. I could not believe the difference. I would highly recommend this product.

For YEARS I've suffered from big, thick scales that would show up even a day after I'd wash my hair.They would even ooze and break my scalp open. The logical solution would be to wash my hair every day. But, being of African-American descent, that wasn't an option. I needed something that could control my dandruff for at least a week. I've tried numerous remedies: MANY over-the-counter shampoos, hair creams that contained sulfur; "natural" remedies such as tea tree oil, as well as vinegar; "special" lotions and ointments from Asia and even medicated shampoo. All of them failed to control my dandruff for more than three days. I had finally decided to give up the 23 year battle when one day I saw Nizoral. I was VERY skeptical, but decided to give it a try. Nizoral kept the flakes away for two weeks! It may cost more than other anti-dandruff shampoo, but believe me, it is well worth it!
