I put a lot of research in to picking a prenatal vitamin. I wanted one that was sourced naturally and from quality ingredients and I feel that this is the best one. Taking 3 big pills a day isn't convenient but it's worth it (and you can take them all at once if you prefer).
There were some noticeable pros and cons in the beginning but they've evened out and taking these pills has become routine. For the first few weeks they upset my stomach and gave me weird vitamin burbs but I adjusted and have no issues with that now. Still, I definitely recommend taking them with a meal. I also felt a clean energy boost at first but that has dissipated, too. I usually take 2 of these with breakfast and one of these and a Ocean's Mom DHA with dinner.

For the most part, the product description is true. Personally, I did not like digesting the capsule outer casing. Although it was suggested that the contents inside the capsule can be added directly to a liquid of choice, that was not a great option for me. The vitamins have a very "healthy" aroma did not have a "chemical" smell. I felt very healthy and good while taking the vitamins. Did not like taking the vitamin 3 times a day.

As everyone said in previous reviews, these vitamins caused me no stomach or other discomfort. I have tried several other OTC prenatals and this one is the first which I found to have the following: 1. Mostly the right amount of certain vitamins (as per the recommendations I've researched) 2. The right type of certain vitamins (folate v folic acid for instance) 3. No DHA (I prefer a separate supplement) 4. The ability to empty the contents of the capsule into a drink or food (my body absorbs pills this way much easier- no acid reflux or stomach issues) 5. Three doses - Some people may not like this but I do bc it allows me to control the dosage (ie I like to start off with one then two then three pills to make sure my body can get used to it). If my body doesn't like three pills I can cut it back and still get benefits.
Aside from all of that, there are some other things like vegetable extracts added to these pills. I'm not sure I believe they do anything for you, and would probably prefer they weren't there, but I think that is partly why some people like them.
Ultimately I think these are the best prenatals I've tried, mainly because they really are easy to digest and have not caused me any discomfort whatsoever.

This product is very nutrient dense. You will have to remember to take them 3 times a day with or without food. It has a strange aroma when you take it but that's about it.

HIGHLY recommended! After having numerous friends tell me how great these were, I decided to give them a try and am SO glad I did! These vitamins are easy to take capsules (so they fully absorb in your system, unlike a lot of solid vitamins) and don't upset your stomach. Also, the ginger in them really helped with my morning sickness. Another great benefit is that you can take them on an empty stomach and just need to take them with water. Not to mention, the fact that they're organic is an extra bonus for you and your baby. I even chose these over all the prescriptive ones that my OB gave me samples of, which seemed to upset my stomach.

I have been very happy with this product. It never caused me any stomach irritation and has helped me stay healthy while nurturing the two precious babies growing within my womb. I've also continued to use it while nursing as requested by my OBGYN and the babies and I are doing GREAT! God is good!!!

This vitamin is awesome! The only thing is you have to take it 3 times a day, but I just set a reminder on my phone and I am good to go! It can be taken with or without food, which is great. I am really sensitive to vitamins, usually causing nausea, but these are great! No side effects!

I love garden of life vitamins! Plus, this has to be by far the best whole food prenatal vitamin on the market. Very easy on the stomach, it does not have an after taste. I can take it anytime of the day and with or without food. But, what I like best is that this vitamin does not cause constipation like most prenatals do. I would highly recommend!!!

These prenatals are the "healthiest" ones I have found. I like that they are capsules so you can add the contents to a glass of juice in case you can't swallow the whole vitamin. For the daily dose, it is 3 capsules. I find that these vitamins have a fishy odor, but they are easily disguised with some apple cider or orange juice. I would not recommend taking them with water as the taste comes through. Great value to buy them in the 180 capsule quantity!
