This quad cane has a nice large base. It is only slightly heavier than the "clinical" silver one. I found it easy to adapt to and had no other issue, except the color is for a mature woman. I am not to that stage yet, but needed a new one and I wanted color! The handle is rather hard, but solid. I believe that I will end up with callouses on my hands, upon daily use.
I am not heavy and can't attest to it's strength, but I feel secure.
Note to manufacturer: Please make youthful colors (blue jean color)!

This was my first time with a 4-prong cane. When I first tried it, I thought that the 4 prongs might be uneven, but I chalked it up to the fact that it might be a difference that I needed to adjust to. But a friend of mine checked it out, and her first reaction was that the cane was uneven. I took a fall while using the cane; I was so focussed on trying to use the cane that I didn't see the threshold I tripped on. This cane goes into the garbage.
