This is the best depilatory I've found so far.
I'm a woman and use this on my legs and bikini area. I get very bad razor bumps and my doctor recommended I use a depilatory instead of shaving. I tried all the usual brands, and found that if I left them on long enough to remove the hair, I got chemical burns. I haven't experienced that with this one. It's inexpensive and doesn't have a strong odor.
Mixing the powder is a bit of a pain, but it's worth it for the results and the price. I don't bother scraping it off with a credit card. Scrubbing with a washcloth works just fine.

I bought this thinking it was an after shave product to reduce irritation. Anyways i used the shaving powder to shave 30 mins ago! I use a straight razor and have shaved with the grain of my beard for the past week, so i figured that would be a control for this experiment =] I open the can and it has a gross smell to start off with, albeit it is bearable. Then mixing the stuff is a disaster! 3 mins and still has powder sitting on top of the mixture, so then I pour it into my hands and mix it up and apply to my beard. Waited 5 mins and the stuff is dry!!! so a little water on my hands and moisten it up and proceed to shave. i get done with 1/4 of my face, it dries again and the 1/4 of my face feels like aftershave or razor burn. However, no bumps. I cant seem to get the beard as close of a shave as with the art of shaving stuff, but that stuff is very expensive! To compare cheap products to cheap products, Barbasol is the same thing, no mixing required! but you may get razor bumps (i almost never get them unless i shave against the grain might end up making a new experiment with me shaving against the grain with this stuff) In conclusion: if you dont mind feeling razor burn, dont mind the odor, dont mind dry skin, dont mind moistening the mixture every 3 mins in the exchange for no razor bumps then this is the stuff for you! but as for me i wont be using it as a daily shaver maybe against the grain though!
This is the Only product of any kind my 18 year old daughter will use on her very long (she's 6ft. tall) legs! Magic Shave conditioning formula does not irritate her sensitive skin at all AND removes all of the hair on her legs beautifully. Enough said.

I've never been able to use any other depilatory without ending up with very irritated skin, mostly because I have really sensitive skin to start with. This stuff is awesome. I can use this anywhere and it never leaves any bumps or irritation. I Love it! Try it!
This stuff works really well. But make sure you follow the directions, and don't mix it up too thickly. I made it too thick, and it seriously clogged my drain for about a year afterward because I did both my legs, and scrapped all the stuff off into the bathtub. Unlike Nair, it didn't just wash down and that was that! It turned into a huge clumpy mess that took forever to go away. But that's because I didn't read the directions, and used WAY too much powder. Read the directions, use an old [not scratchy] credit card, or a washcloth to get the hair all off.

I bought this product to use on my head. Works great. Magic Smooth caused bumps on my neck even after trying to be careful. This product works great applied every 3 days.
This product is a well-kept secret apparently. It is a depilatory that comes as a powder that you mix with water. I'm a woman, and I use this product on my legs and bikini line. It really does prevent those red bumps. I have very sensitive skin, and had no irritation at all from the product. Best of all, it's a fraction of the price of other depilatories, and even cheaper than razor blades.
Test: Before using Magic Shaving Powder for the first time, the following test must be performed. Wait at least 36 hours after using a razor or depilatory product before doing this test. Mix a half teaspoon of Magic Shaving Powder with equal amount of cool water. Apply to one inch section of beard area. Leave on for no longer than five minutes. Moisten if necessary. Rinse away thoroughly. Wait 24 hours. If there are no signs of irritation or redness, follow directions. Directions: Mix 2 heaping teaspoons of shaving powder with an equal amount of cool water. Apply the creamy mixture to beard. Leave on for 5 - 7 minutes. Remoisten if the mixture dries. Remove with a damp cloth. Rinse shaving area thoroughly. Do not wash off with soap. If any beard remains, wait 24 hours before next Magic Shaving Powder application.
