What is xylitol? Xylitol, a natural ingredient derived from birch trees, helps to prevent plaque buildup.
What is propolis and myrrh? We use two special herbal resins, propolis & myrrh, to promote a clean, healthy-feeling mouth. Propolis is a mixture of tree resin gathered by bees and myrrh resin comes from the myrrh bush.

I've Done a good thing for my health by switching to a toothpaste withOUT fluoride. After researching the facts about fluoride I made the decision to stop using it. Research fluoride, read the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) on fluoride. It is in our tap water, until it is removed we can buy filters for removal of this poison.

I had never tried organic toothpaste, but have become more and more aware of the effects of harsh chemicals, so I decided to give this toothpaste a try. I will admit, it tastes bad. I am so used to overly minty toothpaste, and this kind is totally different. I got the peppermint, but it smells much more like peppermint than it tastes. That being said, I LOVE the way my mouth felt afterward! My teeth were literally sqeaky clean. I love that Tom's has toothpastes available in Fluoride free. Overall, I am really pleased with this brand and will continue to buy it.

I brush several times a day and I love this flavor and appreciate that it's available flouride free and antiplaque. It has baking soda in it but occasionally I add some by dipping my brush into a bit that I put in a small dish on the sink. I hope that Toms doesn't discontinue this Peppermint as they did with my beloved Gingermint.

This is a great natural toothpaste without fluoride. Does taste a bit salty like baking soda and has a non-sweet mint flavor. Teeth feel more polished than brushed.

I switched back to Tom's of Maine toothpaste after using another product that felt very harsh. I like that the taste of this paste is minty without being over-powering and it cleans very well without being abrasive on my gums. For cavity protection it is very good, but I can't yet vouch for its anti-plaque properties - I suppose I will find that out on my next visit to the dentist.

I've been using Tom's toothpaste for about 10 years having been introduced to it by my son. He liked it because it isn't as sickeningly sweet tasting as other brands and, after I began using it, I agreed. The baking soda leaves a very clean feel. Won't use anything else and I order it now - 4 tubes at a time.
