First, let me say that I have sensitive skin and what I think is fairly stinky BO. I've tried most conventional deodorants and have ended up using Mitchum for years since it was most effective. I'd just about given up on natural deodorants, having periodically tried many of them and not finding any that worked for me. Some even gave me a rash (Tom's of Maine) which no conventional deo ever has. Some actually made me smell worse than using nothing! (I tested this by putting some on one armpit only and nothing on the other armpit -- the only true way to test any deo!)

I was reluctant to try Dr Mist as it sounded like crystal deo sprays I'd tried that didn't work (neither did the solid rock crystal). But I gave it a shot. And not only does it work to control odor as well or better than Mitchum, but it actually seems to act like an anti-perspirant even though it's not advertised as one. After it dries, my underarms feel pleasantly dry and comfortable all day. By contrast, most natural and conventional deos I've tried leave me feeling kind of sticky under the arms, as does no deo at all.

I did the armpit test one day with Mitchum under one and Dr Mist under the other. I worked up a sweat during the day doing chores, and the next AM when I checked, the Dr Mist armpit actually smelled better! So it works better for me than a very strong conventional deodorant.

Try it. You may be surprised how well it works.

I have never used this for deodrant...we use it as an acne spray on the face. It can be a tiny bit drying, because it is salt. But, it works great. Salt is a natural antibiotic/disinfectant, so we spray it on any wounds or skin conditions we have. My husband also used it to help heal his poison ivy faster. Wouldn't be without this stuff!

I have been trying to find a natural deodorant that works to control odor. Perspiration is not my issue. Unfortunately, this has been a difficult task. I tried Crystal first and I was stinky within minutes. The same rang true with this. I applied and within 30 min I smelled like a barnyard. I wasn't doing anything strenuous either-just applying makeup. These types of deodorants do not work with my chemistry apparently.

I was pretty skeptical at first because of all the alternate uses claimed on the bottle, it almost seemed like "snake oil," but it turns out to be the best natural deodorant I've come across. I wouldn't say I'm completely odor free at the end of the day, but that's never been the case for me even when using regular antiperspirants. If I'm going out in the evening I just reapply.

I wanted to review this in case anyone else out there has given up hoping for a natural deodorant that really does work. I had tried all the natural deodorants I've seen in the stores (crystal, etc.), but none worked well enough, so I always had to keep going back to the standard, pore-clogging ones. Not anymore! It's a cool concept. With this product, you can still sweat, but do not smell bad because odor-causing bacteria do not like to grow in the presence of these types of salts. Works for underarms AND feet! It can also be used for skin irritations such as acne, cold sores, and minor cuts (but I haven't tried that yet.)

It is still winter but there have been some very warm days and I've done a little perspiring. Seems to be working well. No residue on under arms of clothing. Will see if it holds up in the summer heat.

I was looking for an alternative to the rock deodorant, which irritated my skin even after years of use, and I found this!

I am happy I bought this as I have absolutely no underarm odor, even after long days with the kids.

Use immediately after showering. Sometimes I use blowdryer to help dry if in a hurry. Dr. Mist completely eliminates odor. I like the no fragrance product. I used the baby powder fragrance, and did not like it as much. This product kills bacteria which causes odor. I will never use traditional deodorants again.

This product lives up to it's claims. I will purchase regularly forever. Can't say enough good things! Well worth the cost. Escpecially impressed that's it's natural.
