I use this just as the instructions suggest under and over makeup. It seems to work best if when applying to a cleansed face allowing it to dry completely before applying a moisturizer. When I use it over my makeup I use much less and kind of pat it to absorb better. I think it helps set my makeup and give a very Fresh dewy appearance.

When I first got this product, I was so surprised that it was a spray application- I didn't catch that when I ordered it- opps! So the first couple of days I did just that, sprayed it on, and was so wonderfully surprised at how lightweight it felt going on, and the resulting "feel" to my skin...ahhh! What I came to realize, is while it was refreshing my face, the spray technique was getting product on my floor- and made it very slippery! From that point on I decided to just open the top, and apply it directly to a cotton ball or two, then wipe over my face. That worked great, and no waste- so the product will last a lot longer than if spraying... I love this refresher- think you will too!

This is a really great toner, but I would not use it if I had oily skin. I have an oily T-zone, but I can't use alcohol-based toners without irritating my skin. So in that regards, this toner feels very hydrating and refreshing. However, I felt that the spritzing that the instructions call for is totally the wrong way to use it...because it works really well at cleaning my pores. I have to spray about 10 times on a cotton pad, then I wipe my face. It gets all the makeup that my cleanser leaves behind too. However, because I have to use so much of this product to cleanse instead of just hydrate, a bottle goes by really fast. I'm talking like 2 weeks. That makes this very costly. I would say that's the biggest downside.
