I love this. I put this on my face after the shower and before my foundation. It tones down the redness and makes my skin feel smoother. The foundation goes on better too. I use this with Almay foundation and to me it is the perfect pair. Best on the market

I was surprised by all the bad reviews....
I really like this stuff..., It tones down the redness, and I can use this alone, or under Foundation Make-up... Love the pump..., and it lasts a long time, since it is used sparingly to do the job...
I think it even adds a little moisturizer, without over-doing it...., so I can even use this instead of a moisturizer... I use this when I don't have time to do a full make-up routine, and I can actally get by without wearing make-up for a quick trip to the store...
Maybe people's expections were too high for this product, but for me, I think it is great stuff...

It is as if you put nothing on at all. I did a side by side on my face. One completely bare after washing and the other this primer. You cannot tell any difference. Zero redness reduction or pigment concealment. Don't waste your money on this product.

I have fair skin and hoped this would neutralize some of the pinker areas on my cheeks, nose and chin. This product goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. I layer it over oil-absorbing primer and under a tinted moisturizer and/or BB cream (depending on how much coverage I want). I wish I could use it alone on days when I don't want to make up too much, but it's very sheer. Good for layering, though!

I love Almay products but was a little disappointed with this smart shade product. I haven't noticed any difference when applied. Though, it does have a silky feel and absorbs quickly

Tried this for the circles under my eyes- doesn't do anything to mask the purple tones and actually stings a bit (though i don't have sensitive skin).

I love Almay. But in this case, I wish I had gone with Physicians' Formula.

I have been using this primer daily for about a week now and I absolutely love it. I have had far more expensive primers before and think this one performs just as well. I love that it works to even out skin tone as it primes, and I see a noticeable difference when I use it. I do not have a lot of problems with my skin (few blemishes or breakouts and not dry or oily), but can be sensitive to certain products. I have never used an Almay product that I did not like and this one does not disappoint. Definitely worth the price.
