I bought these to put in with my boyfriends work clothes because they can get pretty smelly. I use a scentless detergent which he doesn't like, he prefers scented. So to compensate I thought I'd try these scent booster pouches just for his clothes. As instructed I put one of the pouches directly into the drum of the washer. When I took his clothes out they didn't smell like anything (which is good) but I expected at least a pleasant citrus scent since I used one of these. I will have to buy a different brand next time. I like the simplicity of the pouches but I need a stronger scent.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Before I started using more natural products a few years ago I had loved downy unstoppables. I had been looking for a more natural alternative, and even looked into a few ways to make my own since there seemed to be none on the market. Browsing DS I happened upon these, and immediately gave them a try. Not only are they natural, but they are more affordable then the unstoppables! These are great, while admittedly not as strong as the aforementioed brand, they do the job well enough that I have no complaints. My clothes have a lingering scent that is enjoyable, and since I use natural laundry detergents and fabric softeners it is hard to get a lasting scent, so these are perfect for that! Scent is not overwhelming, subtle but not too much that you miss it. Highly recommend.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Dropps makes a fragrance free fabric softener--ask Drugstore.com to sell it. This is a good fabric softener but the smell is sickeningly sweet--in a fake way--at least the Orchid. I did not try the citrus so I can't comment on that one.
