As a vegetarian, I wanted my vitamins to come from a plant source too. There were used as my prenatal and nursing dha supplement. They are cheaper than other brands, and bonus is that there's no fishy burps!

I was looking for a DHA supplement to take during pregnancy, but I wanted something completely vegetarian. Some other brands offer algae-based DHA (rather than fish-based), but all the others I looked at were still packaged in gelatin capsules, which aren't vegetarian. Really happy to have found this! No aftertaste; these are totally painless to take.

Research shows DHA helps prevent heart disease and Alzheimers. The problem is the most common source of it is fish oil. But you know where the fish get it from? Eating algae. So this supplement skips the middleman (middlefish?) and uses algae as the source. As a vegan, I love that.
