I'm an ex smoker who drinks coffee and tea so obviously I have some staining on my teeth. Nothing drastic thankfully but they needed a good whitening. I picked this up on the recommendation of some friends of mine and I'm glad I did. My teeth and gums are pretty sensitive. I've used other more expensive systems but could not keep up with them because they irritated my mouth so badly. That being said this product is great! I've had minimal gum and tooth sensitivity using this on a daily basis for 15 minutes. Within 3 uses I could see a very noticable difference in the color of my teeth. It's not an overnight cure but more of a slow and steady wins the race kind of product. The longer you continue to use it the better the results get but 5-7 consecutive days will get most people great results.

I did not have any issues with the consistency or the tray. The tray is very soft and flexible so it's easy to slide into my mouth pressing the gel against my teeth. It does foam up and it takes a while to get used to but the key is not messing with your mouth once it's in. Don't try sucking it back. Don't try breathing in and out your mouth and you'll be fine.

As for the mouth wash it's not a pre-rinse. It's a post rinse and my guess is the reviewer who claimed the rinse burned their mouth failed to read the instructions. It MUST be dilluted in a cup with 2 parts waters to 1 part wash. It does not burn at all if you follow the instructions if you have relatively healthy gums to begin with.

Overall, totally worth it.

I was skeptical about ordering this, but I saw a noticeable difference just with one application.

I have professional custom made fitting trays from my dentist, so I didn't need the one it came with. I was spending $38 to $99 on the professional whitening gel kits that comes with the trays. I squeezed this stuff into my trays and it worked just as well, if not better than the expensive whitening gels I was buying. I did leave it in for 20 minutes. The expensive one's I bought, I had to leave in all night just to get the same effect. It's very possible that I had a good effect because I had put the gel into my custom fitted ones, so I am not sure if that plays a difference or not. I will continue to buy this stuff. Can't beat it for the price.

I bought this product after seeing it recommended by beauty gurus on YouTube. I liked that it came with a tray that applied the gel to both the top AND bottom teeth at the SAME TIME. However, this product is misleading as it says 5 minutes, but this is the MINIMUM amount of time needed to even START to whiten teeth. It actually recommended 20 mintues. The first time, I couldn't even make it to 20 mintues, I barely made it to 10 because my mouth produced so much saliva I had to have a drool/spit cup present. The second time I tried it, I guess I made it to 15, the next day, suffered to 20. It is very awkward to use and it didn't really whiten my teeth after a week of use. The tube barely lasted a week and a half as it says to fill the top & bottom tray w/ a continuous line of gel so it gets used up very quickly. I noticed a whiter appearance after my 1st use w/ Crest Whitestrips and although they cost more, they are worth it. Save you money & get the whitestrips (which are also much less messy & a whole lot more comfortable to use).

It's messy, but that's to be expected, and it works. Even time I used it, I noticed a subtle, yet noticeable difference. It took about 5 times to get to my desired whiteness. I use it once or twice a month to maintain.

NOTE: As with all over the counter whiteners, it will NOT whiten bonding or veneers. I have some bonding on my front teeth. When I visit my dentist, he is able to polish off any stains on my bondings.

I have no idea whether this whitens your teeth or not. I never got that far. The pre-rinse burned the inside of my mouth even with only swishing for 2 seconds. Then there's the gel. It was a gloppy mess, not a smooth gel. I had to smooth it into the tray with my finger since it came out of the tube as a chunky jelly consistency. The tray is not a firm shape. To try to conform it to the shape of my teeth without getting the gel on my gums was impossible and then it just kept sliding in my mouth. All in all, I had the tray in my mouth less than 30 seconds before I took it out and spent 5 minutes rinsing all that thick, nasty, sticky, burning gel off my teeth. DO NOT BUY THIS!

I began using this product in 2002 and even my dentist was impressed with the results. It's very affordable and doesn't take a lot of time or effort to achieve outstanding results. I endeavor to use it weekly but I use the toothpaste daily to maintain the brighter smile. I highly recommend these teeth whitening products. And it also comes in a sensitive teeth variety for those predisposed to it.

i use this product a lot to whiten my teeth. its pretty easy to use and it really does whiten your teeth effectively ! i started seeing results the first week i used it. one thing i would say though is you kind of have to be careful to not get it on your gums though because it can give you a slight chemical burn from the peroxide. other then that it is a great product
