This shampoo made my flat, thin, thinning, somewhat damaged hair, feel great just with the first use! Works better than a bottle of $25 shampoo I have for thinning, damaged hair. This shampoo is a dark, thick-ish brown color, but don't be alarmed. It does nothing to alter hair color & it makes a nice lather...you don't need much. It also smells amazing. I will be including this in my shampoos.

I recently noticed this product at a local drug store. On the box, under directions it reads: "Enjoy the rich brown color . . ." I put the box back on the shelf. I didn't want a product that would darken my light brown/blonde hair. I did a little more research online. No where does it say it adds color, only that it is color safe. Being the product junkie that I am, and being extremely concerned about thinning hair, I went ahead and purchased the B'IOTA Botanicals Bioxsine Series Herbal Shampoo for Normal/Dry Thinning Hair. The insert in the box recommends daily use. Well, I wash my hair every other day and decided not to change my ways right now. The insert also advises against the use of conditioners, etc. If I don't use a conditioner then I yank out more hairs than I'm saving with any product, but the first time I used it I did try it without a conditioner. True to form, I had a really hard time combing out tangles. So the next time I did use a conditioner on the length of my hair below my nape and was careful not to get it on the scalp. Still difficult to comb, but do-able. The directions also say not to towel-dry hair because the towel will absorb the product. Well, I don't like the drippy, cold, wet feeling running down my back, so I just drape a towel under my hair over my shoulders while I dry the rest of me. More cautions under Q&A on the package insert advise against using a hairdryer, but I use one anyway, on cool or warm setting, not hot. I also use a flat iron but am now careful to avoid the scalp and I only run the iron through once instead of my previous three times. What I like about this product is: 1- The smell. 2- The shine. I've been looking for help for my dull thinning hair, and surprisingly this is it. 3- It unexpecteldy tames the frizz, so I don't need to use all the frizz-taming products I usually use and that are recommended against using. I've only given it three stars because the main reason I purchased this product is for help with thinning hair. (I've always had thin hair, and now, getting older has made it thinning hair.) I expect it to take months to see any positive results in helping with my hair loss. Oh, I almost forgot. The "rich brown color" of this shampoo does NOT affect the color of my hair in any way.
