I have to wear a retainer nightly due to TMJ. I kept damaging the retainer when I brushed too hard. Now I soak my retainer in Polident and don't have to do all of the brushing. It has been very effective.

I use this no more than 1x a week to soak my upper and lower plastic retainers. Even though I would brush my retainers before and after use with toothpaste, I would sometimes wake up with a sore throat after sleeping with my retainers in. Using this product to really clean and sanitize my retainers has eliminated that problem. It works better than soaking them in mouthwash.
Due to safety concerns about the ingredients, I only use it once a week as a 'deep cleaning' for my retainers. And I rinse the retainers very well in cold water and brush them with a soft bristle toothbrush before I put them in my mouth.
I am very pleased with this product. I've had no discoloration of the plastic using it, and it's cost effecient as a weekly cleaner.

Never knew they made a cleanser specifically for partials. Makes sense with the metal parts. Seems to work just fine.

I wear a "night guard" while sleeping because I have bruxism (grind my teeth in my sleep). Polident for Partials is excellent for cleaning this in the morning, I soak it while I am going about my morning routine. Unlike the "other" big brand of specialty appliance cleaner, this one is the only one I've found that does not leave a gross residue on the soaking cup, and rinses clean quickly and easily. It's a little more expensive but worth not having that annoying residue. It's very tricky to find in stores so I'm glad it's available here.

I was just fitted for a partial and was concerned about bad breathe and how to keep it clean. This product takes all the worry and work out of it. It's super easy to use and does what it says it will do.
Drop one Polident tablet into enough very warm water to cover your partial or retainer. Place partial or retainer in effervescing solution and soak for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, rinse partial or retainer with running water. Polident Partials is also safe and effective for upper and lower dentures. A good oral care routine: Brush your natural teeth twice daily with a fluoride toothpaste. Clean your partial denture daily with Polident Clean and Protect cleanser. Use Poligrip Seal & Protect adhesive to help stabilize your partial denture. Regularly visit the dentist (every 6 months).
