My dermatologist told me to forget Ivory Soap notwithstanding its purity becasue, she said, that product dries the skin. Dove is more expensive but has the good effect of hand cream: moisturizing!

I've used it for 40 years. My daughter uses it and will not use anything else.

I have used every product under the sun for my face and i always come back to Dove beauty bar. It keeps my face feeling clean and acne free!!!! i have sensitive skin and all other brands tend to cause break outs but this soap does not!! It tends to be slightly dry after like any other face wash but i follow up with a moisturizer as i would with anything else anyway. I have a rx for benzaclin and this is the best soap to use with it ...i get nothing but clear skin without any hassle...no toners or scrubs!!!! I also use this in the shower for my body and the smell is heaven after a long day !!!!!! give it a try you will be impressed because i am and it took many people to keep telling me its a wonderful product!!!

It didn't help my dry skin at all, that's all.

I have used this soap on and off again for about three years or so. I am never disappointed by it. The reason why I stopped using this at times was because I was in the store and saw something on the shelf that smelled really good or because a friend recommended something to me (she always has a new bath product she is recommending). Every single time I have changed products I have not been satisfied. I always feel dirty or grimy and sometimes the wonderful scent of the other products didn't even last. Every single time I have gone back to the Dove Beauty Bar White and never have been disappointed. I like how long the bar seems to last (if not under a stream of water; I put it in a soap dish) and how pleasant the scent is. After I get out of the shower there is a light, soft, lingering scent that is not overpowering in anyway, shape, or form. I can see how some people can say that the scent is strong, but after it is taken out of the box and used, the scent is not as powerful. I use this with a washcloth to gently exfoliate my skin. Since I love opening new bath products (such as a new body wash even though my old one wasn't even half way through), the bar is the best match for me. Then every few weeks I can open a new box and have a new product. This scent/bar is my favorite because I feel like it is the most neutral (so it goes with any additional scents) and I feel like it does the most effective job of cleaning. In my opinion the bar smells better than the wash. Also, I use this on my face and it has cleared up acne and kept my face looking fresh and my skin healthy. I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone, boys, girls, men and women alike. Give it a try!! You'll love it. Hope this helped. :)

Dove has always been our family's favorite. When my daughters (now 14 and 17) graduated from baby products we went straight to Dove with no problems. My youngest daughter has sensitive skin and there are never any problems with Dove.

I have used this soap for years! I have sensitive skin and this doe not irritate my skin anywhere! The scent is wonderful. It lathers great and is so creamy. My skin is so soft and supple. I will never change brands.

I chose to buy the Dove bars after reading the reviews about its mosturizing qualities. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to try these bars because when they arrived the fragrance was SO strong that I got a headache. I was going to bring them to work and see if someone there would like them but I couldn't even keep them in the house or in my car without being overwhelmed with the smell. I would love to take adveantage of Dove's qualities but I would need the option of a bar without any fragrance. It was the wrong choice for me.

I can't believe I haven't tried Dove sooner. I have used every other brand out there from extremely expensive french milled soaps to plain old Ivory. Dove is the winner by far! I love the scent and it doesn't linger too long after my shower. My skin feels moisturized but clean... hard to find a soap that does both. I have been using Dove soap for about 2 weeks and my sensitive skin is doing well. I will definitely buy more.

I have been using Dove for about 40 years. I am a 67 yo guy and nobody would begin to believe that by looking at my skin. Macho it ain't, but macho only last so long. Your skin is supposed to last as long as you do.
