I used these every night to help me stay asleep, and I can say they work very well! You can get a few good uses from each pair before they start getting a little icky, and loose their shape. I'd say anywhere from 3 to 6 good nights, maybe a little more. I did have some discomfort with each new pair, since they needed to be broken in, but not enough to go without. I did, however, find another type of earplugs at my local drugstore by Flents that are tapered designed for added comfort that I feel work a little better because of their design and are NRR 33 versus these that are ~25 to ~30. These do work great, but if you're wanting earplugs that are a bit more comfortable, try to find Flents comfort foam. They run about the same price depending on where you go.

These were not uniform in length, the material was much rougher than the previous plugs that I have used (Mack's Safe Sound Soft Foam), and they were too short for my ear. I put one in, getting ready for bed, and I had to remove it with tweezers. Regardless to say, I could not use them and my ear ached for a while after I removed it (I did not put it in too far, I followed the instructions). I was very disappointed.
Worn 'Quiet Please' ear plugs for sleep for many years. These are the only ear plugs (& I've tried many brands) that do not hurt my ears. When my local stores stopped stocking them, I was relieved to find them on Drugstore.com & stocked up. Definitely would recommend.
I use these so I can get a good night's sleep. They are spongy and fit well in the ear. They can even go through the washer in a small lingerie bag! I love my Flents!
To use these kinds of earplugs, you roll them tightly, then insert them in your ear canals. It used to be there were a lot of store brands that would work well. Now the store brands re-expand before you can fit them in your ears. The may have a high dB rating, but you can't fit them properly. These are the only ones that stay compress long enough to use properly.
These ear plugs do the job in muting out most of the noises to get and stay asleep. Nighttime frogs, downpour rains, early morning planes, and roosters at odd hours--all muted out. The ear plugs are light enough so that my alarm can still be heard. Great product value.
Similar to others I've tried. Even when moistened, they do not conform too well to the ear shape. They tend to pop out. However, they block out some noise (about 50%), and on a recent trip, helped me sleep despite my husband's snoring.
I discovered these earplugs at a chain store several years ago. Looked to buy them again and could not find them. Glad to see drugstore.com carries them. I use them whenever I sleep, whether for a nap or a night's sleep. I like that they are latex free. Very pleased with the price, too. I keep a pair in my gym bag in case the zumba music is too loud at the Y. Highly recommend these ear plugs.
.I have always used Flent's earplugs and lately can only find them at Drugstore.com.Flent's seem to keep out the most noise. You really need to follow directions;which means when you roll them between your fingers, don't leave any creases as that will leave a space between the earplug and your ear. That will allow unwanted sound into your ear. I don't like the neon orange ones you find by the hundreds in the jar at the drugstore.Maybe no-one has ever had so much to say about earplugs without being paid.I have loud parrots and love to read with a bit of quiet.
When my boyfriend moved in with me, I thought I'd never sleep again due to his horrible snoring! I purchased several types of ear plugs and these were the only ones that worked. I have ordered them several times. The pairs last about a month in my opinion. After that they are too formed and smell kinda weird. :-)
With clean hands, roll plug back and forth between fingers into a tight cylinder.
Immediately insert compressed plug into ear canal. Hold plug in place until it expands to give a snug, comfortable fit.
