Either the cleanser was too drying, too expensive, did not work etc....I have to be careful with my mature, still acne prone, sensitive, hyper pigmentation and sometimes eczema (spots) skin. As the Pore Perfecting toner of Dickinson's cleared my skin and prevented more acne from appearing I decided to try this gentle wash. I am so glad I did. Just a dab I spread between my hands in the shower apply it to my face and wash it of with a wash cloth. Voila no more dry ness, tightness, moisture sucking cleanser. My skin has remarkably cleared up combined with the toner. I also noticed that the less ingredients in a cosmetic product the better for me. As I follow my skin care routine with Sebamed moisturizer for sensitive skin. This is the first time in a decade or so that my face is back to normal and looks totally rejuvenated. This cleanser left my skin feeling as if I needed to wash it with something else afterward. Face did not feel clean and my acne got worse. It probably would work well as a makeup remover but not to remove excess dirt and oil. I will stick to their foaming cleanser. Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: Good stuff! I have occasional breakouts and this keeps my skin clear. My husband started using it and likes that it is less harsh than soap. His skin is now less dry too. It tingles (good) and has clean natural scent from the witch hazel.

Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: Good old fashioned cleanser with witch hazel as part of the formula. A little bit goes a long way, too.

Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: I'm 38 years old and still get acne breakouts. I don't like to use any cleanser with benzyl peroxide because it's too drying and stains my towels. I use this cleanser at night daily followed by the toner. In the mornings I use Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Pore Scrub followed by the Dickinson's toner. Together these products do not dry my skin and prevent breakouts. Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: It's really gentle like it says it is. Great use for those with sensitive skin and doesn't bother the eyes. Lightly scented. I use this in the morning. It works great when used with Dickinson's Witch Hazel-Daily Facial Toner. Not as many harsh chemicals and ingredients like other products. The only thing I didn't like about this is it dries out your skin a little. I have to use a moisturizer afterwards. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: I bought this cleanser because I have very sensitive skin and avoid added fragrances as well as "natural" ones (like lavender). I also wanted to replace my expensive Aveda All Sensitive Cleanser. (The first ingredients in the Aveda cleanser are the same as the Dickinson's (water, witch hazel).) After trying it out, I have to say that the Dickinson's is a great product; plus, it does NOT have parabens, SLS, etc. I will definitely keep using it!

Best Uses Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: I was excited that this is a new cleanser without parabnes and chemicals so I was eager to use it. After just three minutes of putting it on my face.. I felt this hot reaction, then a burning sensation so I washed my face quickly.. then the red wouldn't go away after ten minutes.. would not recommend to anyone unless you want your face red like a sunburn afterwards.

Comments about Dickinson's Gentle Skin Cleanser, 6 oz: I switched to this cleanser after searching for a long time for something that was very gentle and chemical free for my sensitive skin. I am extremely satisfied with how well this cleanser removes impurities and makeup off my face and neck. My skin is left feeling clean and soft without feeling dried out or irritated in any way. I use this in the morning and at night, followed by toning my face with witch hazel. My skin has never looked better!
