These were the only pads that worked for me when I first started nursing. Some of the other pads felt like sandpaper on my sensitive skin. Once I got used to nursing, I could use the others, but if I didn't have these to start with, I don't know what I would've done. They're thick, absorbent, & soft. I didn't have a gel issue with mine (like one of the other reviews says). I don't even think they had gel inside. The ones I used came in a pink box, so I don't know if these are different, but they were made by Johnson & Johnson.

I have used a few other brands of this type of product and I bought this one because it was on sale. It works fine. However, the design is very poor. Usually you buy these to help with leaks and to hide your nipples. So why would you want to wear these that have a nipple shaped raised section on the outside?

Johnson Nursing Pads were recommended to me by a friend who was a mother of three and had used them while nursing all of her children. Now as a mother of two I recommend them to new mothers looking for a good product for a good price. They stay put, are lightweight, and don't look bulky under clothes so long as you have on a decent nursing bra.

I've tried several brands of disposable nursing pads, and these are by far the best. They are absorbent, discreet, stay in place, and don't leave weird lines under your clothing. My one complaint is the little indentation for your nipple (which does make them more comfortable) actually shows on the other side. No nursing mom needs her nipples to be more prominent under her clothes. But overall, these are the best out there.
I like how nicely shaped they are but what drives me crazy is that each time after using them I find a small fibers on my nipples!! this is a fatal flaw...
