Connie bashes the use of Yeast. And no that is not the point of probiotics. In fact Yeast based are recommended over bacteria based for several reasons.
1. Safe for children 2 recommended for use while on antibiotics 3. Larger cell size equals better digestive protection w yeast based 4. Stimulates immunoglobulin A (IgA), the primary intestinal antibody to promote health and defend against 5. Reaches colon in active state.
Bacteria based is either limited in all of the above or simply doesn't do it at all.
I don't mean to criticize her but she's unaware of what she's talking about.

So I got this coupon for Bayer brand "TruBiotics" and I needed some because I've been having some not so pleasant symptoms of Celiac Disease lately and my doctor suggested a probiotic, but the Trubioitcs didn't share the full ingredients on the internet so I found them at the store to look, the problem is with a lot of the popular commercial brand names is that they're bad quality, synthetic ingredients and contain allergens that make you feel worse and do nothing that's beneficial to your body. So I look at the ingredients and it said it contained milk, eggs and YEAST! What in the actual heck? What's the point of probiotics if you're going to be putting yeast in there when you're trying to rid it from your body?! What a big oxymoron. The point of Probiotics is to get rid of yeast in the first place! Screw you Bayer! What a scam. That's just like taking medication to get rid of poison oak and the ingredients saying "Contains Poison Oak". So those looking for probiotics, don't take Bayer TruBiotics. Especially if you're allergic to milk and eggs. Always buy naturally sourced, allergen free, and especially yeast free because that's just ridiculous. It's not a probiotic if it contains yeast. It's almost like they put that in there to make you feel worse and buy more... ALWAYS LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS WHEN BUYING SUPPLEMENTS! Big corporations like Bayer just want you to buy more while they make you feel worse.

I have taken these for about a year now. I used to have embarrassing gas on a daily basis, usually around 6 PM. No more..EVER. I love these probiotics. Initially, I took to improve my energy levels (I had below zero). I couldn't believe, after probably about 3 days, I felt the difference. Life is awesome again. I feel it if I forget one day to take one. I've used other probiotics before. Bayer always does the trick for me, no matter what product they produce! Do yourselves a favor. Use these daily. I have never EVER had a broken capsule or anything like what other reviewers said. Not only would I recommend; I would encourage everyone to take these.

I agree with a previous review, the packaging is greatly lacking. The pills are in very thinly made capsules and in both bottles I have purchased there have been at least one pill that has broken or just separated at the capsule and the powder is all over the other pills. I will contact one a day also. Once they fix this I would give it 5 stars.
