But My HE machine got really smelly after 1 year so I looked into these tablets and with some reservations I tried them. 1 Tablet and 1 cleaning cycle and the smell AND the mildew on the washer bottom were gone. I'm sold on these now. Cons Best Uses Comments about Affresh Washing Machine Cleaner, Tablets, 3 ea: I previously used Tide's washing machine cleaner and it left a TERRIBLE perfume odor even days later and after several wash loads. Then, I saw this product and decided to give it a try. It works great and it does not have a strong smell nor does it leave a smell afterward in the machine. I think it works to clean my HE machine perfectly and leaves the stainless steel tank shiny and nice. I like it! I am so glad I found this!! I use one table every month and since we have very hard water in our area, it clears out any buildup in the pipes and the inside of the washer is so clean. Some people might think it's expensive, but compared to having a repair job done... it's pennies on the dollar. Well worth the price! After reading the comments for Tide and Afresh I purchased Afresh and am glad I did. Highly recommend.
