Xylimelts relieved my dry mouth and made life much more tolerable. These little easy to use tablets are a God send and I don't know why they are not recommended by doctors. I think they are new and not very many people know about them yet. A review of their side effects reveals none known. They actually help preserve your teeth, they even whiten them a little. You must try them if you have had cancer treatment or just chronic dry mouth.

These are easier to use than liquid solutions no matter where you are. Two used at night, as suggested in the material, really do get me through the night.

I used Xylimelts to counter the effects of medication that causes dry mouth. During the day I could suck on Xylitol mints and use mouth rinses that helped, but during sleep time dry mouth made it difficulty to have a good sleep through the night. Two of these Xylimelts can be safely and comfortably placed in the mouth and provide relief while one is asleep. I truly believe it helped me achieve longer blocks of uninterrupted sleep. My only reason for 4 and not 5 starts is that even though this is unflavored, one wakes with the taste of the product in one's mouth.

Radiation has compromised my salivary glands. This product really helps to keep the mouth more comfortable anytime of the day. I prefer the mint free. The mint flavor is too strong for my sensitive mouth from radiation. I position one into my mouth at bedtime. Make sure it's in a comfortable place in your mouth, so you don't choke on it. I've never had a problem, but I would suppose it would be hard for a dementia patient to use it. I use one melt, along with a dab of Oragel mouth moisturizer (my favorite) and/or a dab of Biotene gel. This helps me to sleep soundly without waking up with a painful dry mouth or throat.

I have Sjogren's syndrome so overnight diminished saliva would result in dry mouth and throat waking me up. No amount of water would help but Xylimelts do the trick almost perfectly! The original flavor is best for me as the mint, though not overly strong, can cause heartburn to flare up if other factors have contributed to that. I use one tablet overnight, occasionally needing to add a second tablet halfway through the night if I wake up early. Using two together as recommended can stimulate saliva to the point of drooling on the pillow - not nice! It also helps keep the cost more reasonable. I recommended them to a friend who uses a cpap machine and she cannot do without them either now.

Although these are kind of pricey, I like them and use them everyday. Neither the regular nor the mint free taste unpleasant. They work well when they are in my mouth and last for a little while after the disc has dissolved. They are great when I'm in the shower or putting on make-up because they dissolve slowly. I also use them at night. I have woken up in the morning and still had some of the disc left. Sometimes the stick-um part doesn't dissolve completely but it's easy enough to remove.

My dentist recommended this product for dry mouth. Following the directions, I used two discs in my mouth nightly at bedtime and have seen definite improvement.

I use several of these daily. I have an extreme dry mouth due to medications I take and this product literally saved me. My mouth would get so dry that it practically sealed shut and I couldn't talk. This was very embarassing. Thanks to a great product. I can't do without them.

Having cavities due to dry mouth. This happens as we age. Also, due to some medications and chemotherapy. Disc is curved and sticks to teeth and keeps mouth moisturized during sleep. Also good for daytime use, but water can help with that.
