No more mess, no more worry about leakage, no more embarrassment. I don't normally write reviews but I am so glad I found this product (thanks to pandora oddly enough!). First of all, if you use nuva ring and your not using this your missing out, you will love this. Second of all, it takes some uses to get used to, positioning, timing, all new but easy to get the hang of. Wish I new about this earlier, and then upgraded to the reusable which is even better! Being female once a month is messy and sucks no matter what, so get over it, love your body and use this, trust me your body will thank you. I feel so much better using this in any way you can think of. Look further at the product benefits to know even more how much this can benefit your life, they are all true!!! No down side to this!

I use this product for one reason only. I use it to be able to have sex while i am on my period. I should say clean non messy sex. I wear one just befor intercorse, and i don't have to worry about stains on the bed. My husband can hardly feel that i have it in. As far as useing just for period protection i would say a tampon is quicker to use. But sex with out the mess of your flow is sooo great!

I use this on heavy days, or on days when my ability to get the ladies room is going to be few and far between.
There is a learning curve to use it, for sure. I used a liner as a backup until I felt sure I was placing it where it would seal. I can't feel it when it's done right.
It's not a contraceptive at all (!!!!) ...but if you want to have intercourse while on your period with less mess, I find it handy for that.
There is less odor using these too - as it catches everythign inside before it hits the air.
Removal can be messy, esp if it's a heavy day, but I don't mind the investment in washing my hands afterwards (which you would want to do anyway, right?) given how much freedom it gives me.

I loved the idea of not throwing loads of paper products down the toilet/into the landfill and wanted to try this out. Mind you, I know that the first time with anything new can be difficult. I tried this several times and had the same disappointing results. I found this to be very hard to insert and it felt VERY bulky, ahem, down there. The flexible band seemed to push on my bladder. Removing it was also messy and I always needed to use a panty liner for back up protection.
I have recently purchased the Moon Cup and had much better results-plus you wash it with soap and water and it lasts for YEARS. Yes, the removal process is still a little messy, but has a much better seal and doesn't feel bulky.
To insert, squeeze the opposite side of the rim together. Insert Softcup completely into the vagina, aiming it back and down. Softcup molds itself to your unique internal shape for a personal fit. To remove Softcup, simply hook your finger under the rim and slowly pull.
