I thought I'd give these a try after learning about another cup, (which sells for quite a bit more) just to see if they'd work for me. The idea is great, and once you get the hang of it, putting it in place is easy. And you don't even feel it. BUT! I didn't realize at first, these are one-time-use cups, (understandable, I guess not made for re-using) and therefore make them worse for the environment (all that plastic trash, gross!) than tampons (I use applicator-free). And for that reason alone I won't buy again, or reccomend to anyone. But I will get the D**a cup now :)

I was teaching when a student brought in a sample back in the 90's- no one wanted to be the first to try it so I jumped in. I have not looked back and hope to never have to return to any other form of protection. I thought about clicking messy under cons but think that with use this can be avoided. I agree with others who say you have to be careful on the heavy days but I have found that "draining the dish" by sticking my bum up works like magic. The same goes for either easy or difficult to use. Like tampons, it took some pratice so be patient and try if for the first time when you are going to be home. I also find it very suitable for swimming and other athletic activities. There are few things I can look at and say they changed my life but this is one of them.

I'm so glad I found Instead! They really are a huge improvement over tampons. I had never heard of them before and came across them at the Drug Store and decided to try them. I am so glad - I wont use a tampon again!

It takes some getting used to, but once you practice a little bit with it, you will be able to save money in the long run compared to tampons and pads. It feels like you are not really on your period if you use it correctly. While it is almost leak-proof, you should always wear a liner while using it because if you cough hard you might get some spill-over. My only con is that it can be messy on the heavy days, but it is easy to remedy if you are willing to be patient and practice in the beginning. Starting on the lighter days to try it out would be best and then work your way up to the heavier days. The nice thing is that you can have sex while using it (but not on the heavier days, without a mess). I much prefer these to tampons!

This is my favorite fem hygiene product. It's super comfortable, lasts way longer than tampons or pads. You only have to think about your period twice a day, once in a.m. and once in p.m., unless your really flowing heavy and then you can still get by with using 2 per day (and 2 per night). It's much more economical too. Just be careful to keep it horizontal when removing, and remove slowly, so contents don't spill.

I will never go back to tampons!

I have used this product for many years and will search for it if I can't find in the stores. I love how it works, but I will be honest, it takes some practice for it not to be messy when you remove it. But I will say I found a way to make them last longer during high flow days which works great if I don't have a new softcup on hand right at the needed moment.

I work outside and often am not near a facility to change protection. On really heavy days of my cycle, I change them more often-- if they get too full there is potential to leak. They are discreet, most folk don't recognize the package. I try not to use them at night, just to allow my insides a chance to breath. They might take a new user a bit of time to get used to the product, but the payoff is great. People who have used a diaphragm might have the easiest transition. That being said, they are not a birth control. I believe they can be worn during sex with an alternate method of birth control.

This is great for light days. Or if you are expecting your period that day, but it has not started yet, but don't want any surprises. Put it in and you are ready for when it does start - after all, you can't predict where you will be when it does start. BUT, it does leak on heavier days. If your muscles push against the plastic, it can push the liquid out.
