I purchased the Instead cups and the Diva Cup at the same time. I found these cups were easier for me to insert. I didn't feel it once it was in. I did try it out during sex and found it did a great job. He didn't feel it at all but others might depending how long the canal is and depending on the guy. I think the only problem I had was removal after sex since it got pushed in a bit further, but it did help get put better in place. I would recommend for couples who want to be intimate during that time.

Beware! This is not for everyone. It's EXTREMELY difficult to insert and set in the right place. The plastic rim is way too stiff to fold. Divacup, which I don't try yet, provides two sizes depending on different age (frankly vagina sizes). Instead is not designed for Asian women.

Instead is a wonderful alternative! Yes, it can be a little messy getting used to using, but it is worth the try. I have been using Instead for 4 years now and can't imagine life without it! I am SUPER active and have never had a leak. Instead is VERY comfortable.

I'm 40 years old and am now having heaving flow with clotting. This causes tampons to work less effectively or not at all. Instead solves this problem completely. Instead is a life saver.

I love instead. I have been using them for several years now. I have heavy bleeding and I only run to the bathroom every 4 hours at times instead of every 2. Its cost less each month and who doesn't want to save $$.

Been using Instead for about 10 years. It's the best! Much better than tampons. (Recommend wearing with a liner on heavey flow days - just in case.) Love that you can wear them for 12 hours. Love that they don't feel like a huge cotton swab. No worries of TSS. (Can use during intercourse too.)

I was so happy to have found this product! I wish I would've known about it years ago. I found it very easy to use,even the first time and I love how once it is in you never even feel it. As a busy on the go working mom I don't have time to remember to bring tampons and pad with me before I leave the house, but the fact that you can wear Instead for 12 hours is great. It can get a little messy on heavier days but once you get used to what works on those days, they are very convienent. Plus my husband loves that we can clean have sex during that time of the month.

I think that the people having problems with this must not know how to insert them. You need to know what your cervix feels like so that you angle the cup so it covers your cervix. Anyway...I have used these for years. When I first tried them there was only one drugstore in my town that carried them, so I bought like 15 boxes before I moved away just in case I couldn't find them again. I am a heavy bleeder, so my endorsement ought to mean a lot. Here is the thing (sorry, but this is gonna be TMI for some of you): these take the mess out of "relations" during your period. You need to make sure you have a fresh one in at the onset of the smooching. Then, no (or very little) blood, and they don't interfere with lubrication. Penetration is totally no problem with these in, and the best part is that no one seems to think twice about oral sex when you use these. Sorry to be graphic--but we all know this is important. I tried that other reuseable cup product because I wanted to be more environmental, but you can't have sex with that in, and removing the cup nearly cost me my uterus because of the suction. I almost cried. Anyway, I'd love it if THESE were reuseable, and I am a little freaked out by the idea of plastic slow-cooking inside me, but I only use them on the occasion that sex and menses occur at the same time, so it's not so bad.

I have been using these for over 10 years and I can't live without them. I never have any problems with them, they only leak if I leave them in too long on a heavy day but I use a pantyliner so it is fine. They can be messy to remove but all the other benefits more than make it worth it to me. On most days I can wear one for 12 hours and it is so nice not to have to worry about anything. I wish they sold these everywhere.
