I received this product for testing purposes! I have never really used the Pantene bran, but this did not disappoint. This shampoo lathered nicely and left my hair feeling clean but not dried out! It gave my hair some extra volume too I felt. I'd recommend others to use this!

I have wavy hair that tends to frizz. I use shampoo sparingly but need a creamy one that does not dry my hair out. This one is fine, and at a good price. I've tried expensive shampoos but they are no better so why waste my money? My teenage son likes it too.

Lathers excessively; even if I use just a dime size amount for my shoulder length hair. (The "lathering effect" is a gimmick companies use to make us think we are getting our hair sudsy-clean. its an old trick-in-the-book. Mostly it is the action of fillers we don't need. Those fillers also make the formula creamier and heavier so we believe that it is higher quality). This shampoo does more than clean though. For this reason it might be good for people who uses really strong shellacks, like for mo-hawks. But be warned that it leaves hair brittle, even after conditioner, and because it strips the scalp so much, mine has started to compensate by over-producing sebum. HOT! meanwhile the rest of it feels like straw. To get it to not be tangled I need an excess of conditioner, which negates any cleansing effect the shampoo would have had. I would recommend this as a body wash, as its high concentration of harsh surfectants could be put to good use that way. Maybe this was left over from a giant vat of pantene's body wash? I don't know, but its like putting actual soap in your hair. It could not be less aptly named.
