Purchased this a little over 2 months ago. Past week I couldn't understand why my numbers were all over the place..there was no reason for it. So I did 6 tests, one right after the other, within 2 minutes. Numbers went from 172 to 321! I had eaten 6 hours ago, & nothing to raise my blood sugar. Proof to me, that this machine is worthless, & I'm really angry because the strips are very expensive. Call me crazy, but I EXPECT when I test my blood sugar, the number on the screen is ACCURATE. Not 172, then within 10 seconds, 225, then within 10 seconds, 190, then within 10 seconds 291, then within 10 seconds, 205, then 321. Check your meters!!
I was misinformed by the pharmacy people, telling me that if I purchased this monitor, instead of the Tru2Go...the strips would cost less & ins. would cover a large portion. NOPE. 50 strips for the Tru2Go a little over $30....for this monitor they cost around $80.....w/ins. I think all glucose monitors should note the cost of the glucose dtrips somewhere...since that is where the expense is. It's not the machine itself.
