I bought this liner in expresso I love the color it is a brown-black, it goes on easily and does NOT fade but smears a little as the day goes on. This liner smeared some to my upper eyelid not much. It is NOT waterproof so I guess that is why.

I bought this liner in blackest black, expresso, navy and I love all of them, they dry quickly and do NOT smear,smudge or flake and stay on ALL day.

After many years of using pencil eyeliners, because I was afraid of gel or liguid eyeliners and because I have a shaky hand due to some nerve damage. Well, since this came with a brush (and I practiced a lot using an old Physician's Formula gel pot and brush) L'Oreal's brush is so much better and you CAN draw a thin or a thick line, without fits and starts. Just practice till you get the hang of it. You can use this either way, line first or on top of eye shadow and it stays put until you take it off. This is a nice color brown, not too dark, I also have the black one for going out and that one is great too. I have no problem getting this off either. This eyeliner is by far, much superior than MAC's eyeliner(which flakes on me when it dried) and cheaper too.

I noticed how awesome my friends eyes looked and I was like how is your eyeliner still on after working all day and mine is gone?? She bought this for me and it is amazing!! I saw it had a 2 star review and I have to change this! IT is thick ONLY if you apply it that way. The brush gives you control. Rich color, easy on, lasts all day and the product lasts for months as well. Step aside Lancome, Chanel etc. I have found the best liner....finally!!!

When I choose brown liners it is because I want a softer look. Not the case here, raccoon eyes! Should have paid more attention to the word lacquer perhaps. Goes on thick and I was not able to soften it by trying to smudge. Also couldn't tone it down by trying to brush a brown powder over top. If you want a bold thick line you might like it.
