This is a great product for a full coverage BB cream that will match your skin tone flawlessly. However, it does not moisturize or have SPF. I have very dry skin therefor use BB creams to have the duality of a tinted moisturizer, unfortunately this product left my skin extremely flaky with in a couple of hours. This product was not joking when they said "ultra-light" lotion. If you have skin more on the oily side I highly recommend this because it has a full coverage matte finish.

After using BB with a green tone for any redness in my skin, I use this BB product to help even out my skin tone. It does fill in tiny lines on the face. I don't need to use a foundation.

I've used this for years and it's the basis of my make-up regimen. It evens out my skin tone expertly and provides the perfect base for my foundation. I've actually been able to use this product alone for those "hanging out" days and can get by without foundation. Love it!

This BB cream squeezes out white, then adjusts to the skin tone. On me it turns out to be really dark brownish orange, but I have light to medium skin tone with pink undertones. Unable to wear it.

This is the best BB cream I have yet to find and for the price I am sticking with it. It goes on white but actually turns a nice golden medium beige color once it bonds with skin. My T zone is very oily and this provides matte coverage all day. I sometimes even wear it without powder and I need powder with every other product I own.

The consistency is more liquid than creamy, which makes it super easy to apply. It feels very light, like you're not wearing any make up at all but provides medium coverage. I always get compliments on how good I look when I have this on. I think it's the warm velvety glow it gives my skin.

Both the Revlon and the Smashbox BB creams I've used give me breakouts, perhaps due to the sunscreen they contain but this one keeps my skin clear. I absolutely love this product.

This product is a great lightweight moisturizer w/ light coverage. I still use a powder over the top for a little added coverage but it really is not necessary. Will be perfect especially for the summer!!! wish it was oil free though!! Because I have cystic acne and prefer products oil free. I am 42 and this product does not settle into fine lines :) very happy!

I was really hopeful for the product. I have been using one of the "original" BB creams from a japan-based company and LOVE it, but the price is a little too rich for my blood these days.

So I gave this one a try. Many l'oreal products I like very much and even prefer to expensive brands, so I had no reservations.

First, this product contains no SPF. I am not a fan of one-trick ponies. And as a BB cream is supposed to also be a light moisturizer, it makes no sense to have to put a sunscreen or a daytime moisturizer with SPF on under it. So, that's a big miss.

Second, there is the texture. Going on, it has a slightly gritty texture that makes me suspect it has those microbeads in it that don't dissolve in the environment. Just kind of weird and unpleasant. You're not going to stand there rubbing your face all day, but still...

Along with the gritty texture is a slippery feel. It doesn't feel moisturizing... it feels like silicone or something inorganic. eventually it "settles" in to the skin feeling less pronounced. it does remain feeling dewy... which I guess is a feeling some reviewers like. But it doesn't feel healthy dewy. it feels a bit artificial. after a week or so of using, it doesn't feel like it is doing anything to make my skin happier than it was before I started.

So, ignoring that - how does it look? The color does adjust by magic or something to match my skin fairly well. However, the end result lacks luster (despite the above mentioned dewy feeling)... none of the natural vibrance of my skin shows through. And there is some there! It is a little mask-y on the skin. Which could be the "excellent coverage" others are talking about, but I don't think it does the complexion any favors. Other BB creams, even moderately priced brands as this one is - so I'm not unfairly comparing it to something 3x as expensive - have a little subtle sheen to it to give you a little luster and a more youthful appearance. It also seems to dry out bits of my skin, and leave those newly flaky dry bits tinted a slightly darker color than my skin so it is nice and visible!

Overall, I think this misses the point of a BB Cream on a number of different levels. I will try the Youth Code at some point to see how it measures up, but this particular formulation from L'oreal I do no recommend.

Get something better - you're worth it!

I love this BB cream! It's light, goes on smoothly and doesn't make my face look oily. The self-adjusting formula allows you tailor the amount of coverage without looking like you are wearing a mask. Great product at a great price! So glad I tried it!
