Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil rates 4 out of 5 stars, from 36 customer reviews.Clearer Skin
by Desert Tiger[Verified Buyer] in Desert on 11/8/09
Pros: Works Effectively
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Adult Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
I have only used this for a little bit now, and already my blemishes have decreased. I use it at night before going to bed and put it on current acne as well as spots where I normally get it. My acne is not completely gone, but I have noticed a great improvement. I haven't diluted it for my face, as recommended, but sensitive skin users probably should.

Pros: Minimizes Pores, Works Effectively
Cons: Potent Can be mishandled
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Adult Acne, Blackheads & Whiteheads, Moderate Acne, Severe Acne, Teen Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
MUST DILUTE!!! I bought this a few weeks ago and use it like toner-- but diluted (see below) and never around the eyes or too close to the lips! I use it in the morning, mid-day touchups, and night, and noticed with the first use that I wasn't getting those little white pusers anymore that like to pop up like gophers when you're out and nowhere near a mirror to spot them. Gone, never coming back :) My pores have been cleaner, unstuffed, and thus not grossing people out. It works great on my jaw/neck too. I even use it around the greasy parts of my ears which have disgustingly large pores. They're not gray anymore! Again gross, I know. Just dont get any ideas about dipping your q-tip in the oil and sticking it in your ear. BAD idea. This oil is caustic to mucosal membranes. TO USE: Since this is an oil, and wont mix with water, you can't just pour them in the same bottle and shake. I invested in some cotton rounds and a rounds dispenser. Dab 2-3 spots of tea tree oil on the round, then wet it under the sink. Instant toner pad :)
Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 36 customer reviews.Best pimple solution
by Ashley Leigh[Verified Buyer] in New York, NY on 10/1/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Hydrates Skin, Minimizes Pores, Soothing, Works Effectively
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Adult Acne, Inflammatory Acne, Moderate Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
Instead of drying out my face when I apply it to inflamed areas, it soothes, makes my face soft, doesn't dry my face out while drying the pimple out.

This product is great! It hasn't cleared up my skin overnight, but is the only thing that has been effective so far (I'm dealing with post-pregnancy cystic acne in one specific area of my face)...definitely worth a try!

I have used so many products for pimples over the years. I did some research and read that this oil helps with breakouts so I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did! It works great. Before bed I put a little on a Q-tip add a little water then dab it on any pimples/zits. By morning they are significantly reduced or gone. I never have to use it more than twice on a pimple, it works so fast. Nothing I have ever tried does that!
Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 36 customer reviews.Perfect for the natural girl
by anonymous[Verified Reviewer] in undisclosed on 2/17/09
Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively
Cons: Dries Out Skin
Describe Yourself: Budget Buyer
Best Uses: Adult Acne, Blackheads & Whiteheads, Inflammatory Acne, Moderate Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
So it smells a bit - strong like eucalyptus. Very herbal. I actually like the smell. Works great for pimples, but apply very directly - with fingertip or cotton swab. I imagine a cotton ball would dilute it too much and cause excessive stinging. It has also worked so far for keeping toenail fungus away while sharing showers with the fungi-ed. Works on Yeast too. Multi-purpose anti-yuck-ant.

Smells strongly, but I LOVE it!! Has so many uses: Pour a cap full into foundation to keep your skin clear. Add some to your shampoo to cure dandruff. Mix it with astringent or lotion to avoid ingrown hairs after shaving. It's awesome!
Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil rates 5 out of 5 stars, from 36 customer reviews.A Household Must-have!!!
by K[Verified Reviewer] in FL Beaches on 7/13/08
Pros: Easy To Use, Works Effectively
Describe Yourself: Quality Oriented
Best Uses: Cystic Acne
Bottom Line: recommended
This is a must-have to keep in the house! With multiple uses...for bug bites, healing scars and helping with cystic acne. If you're using it on acne make sure you use it sparingly as it can overdry causing the area around the zit to become very dried out.
Desert Essence Tea Tree Oil rates 1 out of 5 stars, from 36 customer reviews.Stinky and did nothing for my pimples
by Tiff[Verified Reviewer] in Lorton, VA on 7/10/08
Cons: Ineffective, Smells
Bottom Line: not recommended
I use lots of beauty products, and this one smells by far the worst. Even after I apply it to my face and it dries, I still smell the odor. Really stinky! I applied this product to an already-moistened cotton ball, and used it for a while with NO good results. It made ZERO pimples go away. I am surprised that other people like it so much. ???
