I discovered I was vitamin D deficient via a blood test from my doctor. I have tried many D vitamins in an effort to raise my levels. Here's my reasons why I'm giving it 5*'s:

1) Nature Made participates in U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) testing. I read about this testing in consumer reports years ago. In a nutshell, they advised to buy vitamins tested by this independent lab. Unfortunately, not many companies still participate in testing - Nature Made is one of the few that still does. This D3 is not tested, but the fact that Nature Made has and continues to tests their vitaimates makes me feel confident when I purchase their products.

2) I always buy D3 versus regular D vitamins. I am not a Doctor, however, it's my understanding and the research which I've read indicates that D3 is a more concentrated source of vitamin D and, as such, a better way to get your daily levels. This product is D3 - so another reason for my rating.

3) The final issue: The Gummies - how do they taste? Well... they are not over the top, 'like a chocolate fudge sunday with whipped cream' - or even the best gummy vitamin which I've ever tasted - (those were usually covered in sugar). Truth is, I have tasted One D3 vitamin which tasted slightly better than this one, however; read number 1... I trust this company. They have voluntarily tested their vitamins for years - to me this is more important than a 4/5 taste versus a 5/5 taste.

This is why I am taking the D vitamins, because my Doctor told me too. By the way, I want it to be safe and I want to get what I am paying for the amount of D stated on the package, nothing more nothing less... Also, I actually take the gummies versus the pill vitamins, which I usually 'forgot to take.' So for that reason, plus the 2 reasons above, I rated this vitamin 5 stars.

This is a yummy gummy. Of all the different gummy vitamins I have tried, this one has the best flavor. Living in cloudy Seattle, I like adding vitamin D to my diet. I'm not a fan of taking pills though and this is a nice way to take your vitamins.
