I have allergies and a few years ago, I developed eczema on my fingers. When I have a flare-up (usually every four days) the skin around my cuticles and on the pads of my fingers itches and cracks. It is very painful and also unsightly! I have used over-the-counter cream and steriods, and all they do is relieve the symptoms for a few hours. I have even covered my hands in Vaseline and slept in plastic gloves to try and heal the skin on my fingers. I also have a steroid cream prescription that helps, but it is not a good idea to stay on steroids for an extended period of time, even if it is just a cream, so I desperately needed an alternative. I recently purchased four Avene products to try and they are WONDERFUL. Seriously, the eczema on my fingers is almost completely healed.

I always come back to Avene. There are a lot of misconceptions out there about products containing mineral oil, but my sensitive skin loves this formulation. This is the only product that calms my skin when it is irritated and red. I do wish it was a little bit more moisturizing as my skin tends to be in the drier side.

After reading the reviews about Avene Skin Recovery Cream and being a loyal customer of Avene products I purchased this cream for a rash on my face. After recovering from laser surgery (using many Avene products during recovery), my face was so beautifully smooth and clear - then - a horrible rash from sunscreen! I immediately thought of this cream. While purchasing my regular regime; Avene Cleansing Foam, Avene Thermal Spring Water, Avene Cicalfate, I added Avene Skin Recovery Cream. GREAT RECOVERY CREAM! I am amazed at how well and quickly this cream soothed and cleared the rash on my face. I will always have one on hand for my sensitive skin.

I love this for intense moisturizing and it doesn't irritate my skin, which almost all products do. that in and of itself is a miracle. I am in my late 40s and wanted a deeper moisturizing cream and this is it. I can only use it at night though since it leaves my skin very oily.

I was diagnosed with rosacea a few years ago and went from great, problem free, porcelain skin to an absolute nightmare in about a month. Everything the docs gave me made my skin worse, and I was in horrid shape when I finally said enough is enough. My face was on fire all day and looked like it. I desperately set out to find what would work on my own. It was not easy and it took well over a year and a half to find the right products. This cream is the only moisturizer I can use, and when I say only, I mean literally. I've tried most products on the market to no avail. If Avene ever discontinues this, I'll have to start wearing a paper bag over my head.

My skin is sensitive, reactive and allergic to a lot. I had an allergic reaction to some laundry detergent, and this cream helped heal the body-wide rash that I ended up with.

As a bonus, it's also clearing up the dry eczema that I have in various areas on my face and body (I'm a mess). It hasn't left any weird film or residue, and it has been a real skin saver for me.

I have oily skin on my face, but I only put this on the eczema patches because they are dry. I will definitely buy this again and keep it on hand because it works, and I didn't have an adverse reaction to it. Also, it didn't really have any scent to it, which was nice.
