getting older and hair thinning as well as much oilier. This shampoo reduces fricktion so I can really scrub without pulling hair out, or tangling. cleans without drying. smells wonderful. don't need much product to work up a healthy lather.

I bought this for my sister, who has never found a shampoo she felt adequately cleaned her hair, and decided to try it before I gave it to her. From the name, I expected it to be slightly drying. To my surprise, it was not; but it gave my hair a lot of shine and body. My hair and scalp seemed to feel clean longer than when washed with other shampoos. The best part, though, was that it did not irritate my problem scalp. I'll probably keep it for myself or, at best, share!

My tween daughter recently started having a very oily scalp that was leaving her with greasy hair. I prefer to use "natural" shampoos that are highly rated by EWG and don't contain phthalates. After trying several of the top-rated shampoos, they would all inevitably fail to lather well, overstrip my daughter's hair, leave it very tangled, and/or or add to the greasiness factor. Enter this shampoo: it lathers beautifully, smells divine, leaves my daughter's fine, straight hair silky soft and easy to brush (I follow up with a conditioner on the ends only), and best of all, it effectively cleans her scalp without leaving her hair dried out. We use this every day and my daughter's hair is shiny and silky. I would highly recommend this to anyone with an oily scalp that needs deep cleaning.

I was expecting more from this shampoo. My scalp gets oily before the day is over sometimes and I was hoping that this would help with that some but I didn't notice any difference. Other than that, it does it's job. The smell takes some getting used to. It reminds me of minty rye bread.

I know that it says "Deep Cleanse" on the label, but it isn't really a clarifying shampoo. It DOES contain menthol and mint, which give the shampoo a fresh scent and that cool, fresh, tingling sensation that make the customers feel like the product is "doing" something. Neither the menthol nor the mint contribute in any way to the cleansing ability of the shampoo; they just smell medicinal. If you are sensitive to either of these, this is not for you. Beyond that, it's a terrific shampoo. It's not at all clarifying, but at the same time it doesn't ADD any of the moisturizers or conditioners that oily scalps absolutely don't need. We have all the natural oil we can use, we don't need our shampoos adding more! It makes my hair feel soft and easy to brush without drying out my hair. I have very long hair and all I need is a little leave-in conditioner at the very ends. If you can handle the mint and menthol, I definitely recommend this as another alternative to gentle, non-clarifying shampoos.
