Warnings

When using this product do not use for sensitivity longer than four weeks unless recommended by a dentist. Stop use and ask a dentist if the sensitivity problem persists or worsens. Sensitive teeth may indicate a serious problem that may need prompt care. Keep out of reach of children. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Adults and children 12 yrs. & older: apply at least a 1-inch strip of the product onto a soft bristled toothbrush. Brush teeth thoroughly for at least 1 minute twice a day (morning and evening) or as recommended by a dentist. Make sure to brush all sensitive areas of the teeth. Do not swallow. Children under 12 yrs.: ask a dentist

My dentist recommends this paste and said he thinks it is the best toothpaste made. It is also manufactured in the USA. If this paste, according to my dentist, is the best thing I can use for best results, then that is enough for me.

I have always had problems with Crest products; mostly that their smell and taste sort of makes me gag. For some reason the combination of smell and taste remind me of hungarian salami, sweat and the lingering smell of fireworks in the air. All in all a very unpleasant combination.
I tried this toothpaste because I had very sensitive gums, and this seemed to be the only product available that was aiming at this problem specifically.

However, I cannot use this product, even though I kind of forced myself to for a couple of days and noticed that it does help with the gum problem, but the taste is beyond awful, and it lingers in your mouth far too long even after using mouthwash.
In addition to that it has a really strange effect on the mucosa of my mouth. Shortly after brushing my teeth it feels like either the toothpaste caused the skin to dry out so badly that it peels off in chunks, or there is some sort of slimey residue from the toothpaste that then forms into this layer one can peel off, I haven't quite found out what it is, but I think it is the latter.
My mouth does feel unusually dry, but what can be peeled off doesn't leave open wounds as one would assume if it really made the skin peel off.
Either way, it's really disgusting and I wouldn't recommend this product. Any product of Crest for that matter.
The effect on the teeth is good, but the rest of the product line is too much trouble to be bothered with.
