This is my go to for headache. I have tried other brand, but it doesnt' work to well for me personally. I'd guess Motrin work for me just as Tylenol would work for others. So, it's a matter of what works well with your body.
I buy this product for my husband. He says it's the best product for alleviating his back pain. He takes it twice a day to help ease the pain from an old motorcycle accident & daily labor on his construction crew. We've had it in our medicine cabinet as a daily staple for five years now!
Motrin is the only ibuprofen medication that I will use. Even though there are generic versions of this medication, to me Motrin is the most effective and fast-acting. I use it according to the dosage and do not overuse. I also use it before or after heavy work, such as lawn care, heavy duty cleaning, etc. It seems to ward off muscle tightness and ache. I won't use anything else.
Just tore the meniscus in my left knee and went to Emergency Room... the doc there said I can give you a prescription for a pain reliever and anti inflammatory, but they all have a ton of side effects. Motrin is the most effective. He told me however after the injury to take 3 tabs of the 200mg every 6 hours. He said the 200 are cheaper..
Do not take more than directed. The smallest effective dose should be used.
Adults and children 12 years and over: Take 1 caplet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist. If pain or fever does not respond to 1 caplet, 2 caplets may be used. Do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor.
Children under 12 years: Ask a doctor.
