This is a good acne cleanser, it got rid of my acne before a week and I use it twice a day. However, my skin got dry afterwards. I recommend using it once every day. After I stop using this cleanser, my acne came back unfortunately.

This face wash is miraculous! I didn't even know that my skin could look this good. I used to use Proactiv but it became too expensive, and I spent a long time trying to find an affordable drugstore replacement. If anything this actually works better because it does not exfoliate, yet contains a much higher percentage of benzoyl peroxide. My blackheads were completely gone within days of using this product, and my zips have been gradually disappearing. It keeps my pores clear, smaller, and my skin is smooth and soft. It also takes out any redness. My skin is less oily throughout the day as well. Yes, it has left some bleached spots on my towels, but not since I've taken more care to rinse my face thoroughly after using it.

I hated this... Yes, It DOES kill acne bacteria, But you have to use a really drying toner after, because look at the ingredients in this... It has mineral oil (which is pure baby oil) and Petrolatum (Pure Vaseline.) My pores were clogged completely, and it gave me 10x more breakouts. And it dries the heck out of your skin. Please Try Proactiv. Pricey, yet the ingredients in it are a high quality and it works. My skin is clear now because of it and the smell is amazing.

This product works great if you have oily skin! I only use it about 4 times a week in the winter, because it is very drying and a bit irritating. But during the humid summer I could use it twice a day and be fine. I definitely suggest using an oil-free moisturizer afterwards and also being careful because the benzoyl peroxide will bleach your clothing/towels that it comes in contact with. If you need a benzoyl peroxide go with this, its so much cheaper than "pro-active" and much stronger. I think proactive has like 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and this product has 10%. I have cystic acne and swear by this product. The tingly sensation you get afterwards is also quite pleasing!

I started using this product after speaking with a dermatologist at Kaiser and being prescribed a Kaiser brand face wash that was 5% benzoyl. I used the Kaiser brand for a little while and then decided to look for over the counter face washes with the same active ingredient. This is when I found C & C Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. After a couple of weeks using this product the bumps on my cheek disappeared. I've not had any side effects from this product and absolutely love the results. Obviously skin type would be a factor in which product works best for you, but for me, with normal to oily skin, this has been the only product that actually worked.

Please steer clear of this if you have sensitive or dry to normal skin. It was much too harsh on my skin, especially in combination with the C&C Deep Cleaning Astringent. I got chemical burns near the ends of my eyes and edges of my nose AND (to add insult to injury) it didn't clear up the pimples. If anything, it made them worse. C&C's sensitive cleanser and astringent are much, much gentler and WAY more effective for dry to normal skin types. They cleared up my skin almost immediately and reversed the damage done by the Continuous Control cleanser.

Very good acne cleanser. It does work. Got rid of my redness and my pimples in about 3-5 days. It does dry out skin so use a lotion and for sure Ill be buying this product again.

This is an amazing product! I have breakouts on my upper back and chest. After visiting my dermatologist, he suggested I try this product. After a few days, I was amazed! My skin was so much clearer and healthier. It has been about a year and half now and I still use it daily and have not had a breakout since. I am now not embarrassed to wear clothing that shows my skin!

I've literally used dozens of acne cleansers throughout the past 2-3 years in an attempt to banish the "ever increasing zit-load" on my face. I started using this product a few days ago and-----WOW! My complexion feels and looks healthier already. It completely removed my make-up; also it has a very refreshing scent. My dermatologist told me simply to use a benzyl peroxide cleanser (nothing particular) so it was either this or PanOxzyl. If you have sensitive skin, try this: Use it as directed, only on the inner elbow 24hrs. before using it on your face. This is what I did because of the sensitivity of my own skin.--Anyway, I would recommend this to anybody with moderate acne. By the way-I'm 30 so I have a case of adult acne.
