This is a great product. Besides having a very effective active ingredient (benzoyl peroxide), it smells great and provides a cool/refreshing sensation. Even as a full-fledged 30+yo adult, I find it invaluable in suppressing acne, and I frequently get comments from strangers asking me how I keep my skin so clear and bright. I always follow it with a sunscreen, often one with some "age-fighting" ingredient like an alpha hydroxy acid or retinoid whatnot. It is a non-sudsing creamy wash, but not greasy. I find that I sometimes need to mix it with a scrub or use a wash cloth to feel like I really got the dirt off of my face. Do beware, however, that any product with benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabrics -- so use only white wash cloths and rinse very carefully! I only use it in the shower, as if I wash at the sink it will frequently end up bleaching my shirt collar or cuffs.

This is an amazing product. I've had acne and cystic acne for over a decade. I constantly went to dermatologists and tried dozens of acne products for years to no avail. This has to be the best product out there. It not only has gotten COMPLETELY rid of my acne but also my cystic acne. Once, after a full year of having absolutely no acne at all (and yes, seriously zero acne after using this cleanser), I went on vacation for a week and forgot to take this product... and my acne came right back. I've also used this on my back where I occasionally did get acne and it completely cleared my back as well. When washing face, I usually pair this product with any foaming cleanser that I use right before. And I have to say, it's absolutely necessary to moisturize after washing. This product does dry your skin a little bit and I know that when my skin gets dry, it gets irritated and irritated skin always gets acne.

I swear by this stuff. I have been using it for the past 7 years and my skin has been clear! Before I discovered this product I had just about tried everything. I have extemely oily skin and I used to break out in mosquito bite size zits...this product cleared up my skin and keeps it that way. I don't know what I will do if it is ever discontinued!!!

This is a HORRIBLE product. It gave me SO many more pimples and it turned my skin LITERALLY red and white!! Now I'm using Neutrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask, and now my face is clearing up SO much!!!

BEWARE - this product can burn your skin! I noticed it stung a lot when I used it in the shower and when I got out, I saw that my face was bright red. I looked like I had a sunburn! Being that I have oily skin with moderate acne, I thought that I needed something this strong to control it. I have since learned, however, that you do not need to use something this strong. Try St. Ives Apricot Cleanser for oily acne-prone skin, Queen Helene's Mint Julep Scrub (very fine scrub), or a bar soap (Cuticura, Basis) and then just use a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment once or twice a day - that's all you need.

I have had problems with moderate acne for years, and have tried just about every cleanser on the market. With most of them, you would see improvement relatively quickly, and then the pimples would come right back. This one actually works. I've been using it (morning and night) for about 6 months, and I can tell a dramatic difference in the clarity of my skin. Here are some things you might want to keep in mind: *Benzoyl peroxide can cause some peeling, redness, and burning...especially if you have sensitive skin. *Benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabrics. (Believe me, I ruined about 3 shirts and several towels before I figured that one out.) *Benzoyl peroxide takes time to work and acne may get worse before it gets better. So, give it at least 4-6 weeks to see if it's working for you. *When I do get a breakout, I apply persagel to the pimples at bedtime after cleansing. The pimples are usually gone after a couple of days.
