These are a refreshing lemon-flavor bar that are pretty close to actual dessert-style lemon bars. There is a tad of an after taste after you eat these however.

My only problem with this flavor is that it becomes tiresome very fast. Let me explain. I can eat the Vanilla Almond, Oatmeal Raisin, Chocolate Caramel, and Peppermint Chocolate every day and it would be OK. But, I just can't tolerate eating these every morning. Occassionally, sure. So for that reason a box is a bit much to buy of this flavor for me.
But, if you do love lemon you'll love these.

YUCK...Too...I don't even know what was wrong but I'll stick to slimfast bars. I'd like to try some of the other flavors of Luna but am skeptical. Wonder if there is anyway to buy a variety pack?

ASD children are "no two alike." Parents are often self-taught and have to be resourceful and collaborative to discover what works best. Going GF has helped my 7-yr-old grandson, and he likes getting his own snacks. Luna's Lemon Zest and Nutz Over Chocolate nutrition bars are among his favorites. I was glad to put a 1- to 2-month supply in my daughter's cupboard at a BIG savings over supermarket pricing, thanks to drugstore.com's sale on nutrition bars.

These bars are yummy delicious - even more so than some of the other great flavored Lunabars. I allow myself one or two per month as a treat, but I have to be careful about not getting addicted. I used to eat them daily until my doctor told me the iron level of my blood was way too high. I cut out Lunabars and went back to normal. These bars are not "clean eating". For that, try Larabars. These bars, in all the great flavors, are a cookie or cake substitute. Naughty, but not as naughty as a sugary dessert. Use them for damage control only, not as a meal substitute.

I have tried other Luna Bars, because I like coconut and peppermint but the Lemon Zest are the best by far, for flavor & for freshness. I have bought Luna Bars at various stores and the other flavors such as the nuts over chocolate, the peppermint and the coconut bars... all tasted stale and were dried out compared to the Lemon Zest. The lemon coating on the bar is perfect. I have one in the morning with coffee. They are sweet, but devine & hard to tell that they are full of goodness!!

I like Luna Bars but these were too sweet. I generally like lemon- flavored products but had a really hard time finishing these. Still have four bars left from summer. Iced oatmeal was really sweet as well. Favorites so far are chocolate peppermint stick and caramel nut brownie.

MY HUSBAND AND I TEACH AN AUTISTIC CHILD. HE WILL NOT EAT A LOT OF THINGS. I SEARCH FOR FOODS THAT ARE NUTRITIONAL FOR HIM AS WELL AS FOR US. HE LOVES THEM AND HAS ONE EVERDAY. WE ALSO LOVE THEM. WE FEEL SAFE EATING THESE LEMON ZEST BARS.
