this filter saved the day!!! our water gets very foul every year at certain times and proves so nasty it is undrinkable. this filter and pitcher has been a real lifesaver. use it every day. no cons that I know of. thanks to brita, we have good water without the plastic bottle mess.

I've been using Brita filters for 8 years, though I was once a confirmed bottle water drinker who didn't expect to enjoy drinking tap water - filtered or not. Now I can't live without it. This replacement filter fits into my pitcher easily, makes the water taste fresh & clean. Also, much gentler on the environment, which is something I always consider when making purchases.

These filters work great. Who needs to pay for bottled water and all that plastic thrown into the environment?? The filters aren't cheap, but it's better than buying bottled water.

I think the pitcher filter is one of the easier ways to filter tap water and Brita has a good system. The only negative is that sometimes the carbon from the filter gets loose and ends up in the water so I have to dump it out and refill the pitcher.
Change your filter with just a few simple steps. Wash your hands before unwrapping the filter. Flush filter with cold water for 15 seconds. Insert filter into reservoir. Add cold tap water. Discard your first 3 pitchers of filter water, or use this water for plants. It is normal for carbon dust to appear in your first fillings. Fill up your pitcher and enjoy great-tasting water. Replace the water filter every 40 gallons or 2 months. Substances reduced may not be in all user’s water.
