I have used Kotex maxi pads for many years. From time to time, with or withour a name change, I notice a difference, like a new color or different wrapper. Most of the time these changes don't affect the performance of the product. But the latest change, to "U," has me thinking about a change of brand. These pads fall apart. That's right, they fall apart. The filling bunches up, and works its way out of the outer covering. Cottony lumps loose in my underwear. Ugh! I am being graphic so you can understand how awful this is. If Kotex doesn't fix this soon, there will be no customers at all for this product.
This review is for the Kotex "U" Regular Maxi. I use it occasionally for mild incontinence issues. The pad is soft and does not generate any odor. It would fit better if it were contoured, but this is a minor flaw
I have used this or a similar product from Kotex for years. I notice that from time to time Kotex makes a change. Sometimes they change the name; sometimes the product is slightly different. Usually it works the same. But with this change, I have noticed that unless I change the pad every hour or two, it simply scrunches up, breaks through the outside layer, and escapes. Ugh.
I didn't care for these pads at all. The thickness and length of them is fine but the middle is raised so the flow runs off to the side and creates a leak. I wasn't very heavy at all and had a leak within an hour.
