Happy with salicylate-free shave cream

I was excited to find this product because I recently started the guaifenesin protocol treatment for fibromyalgia. I'm required to avoid plant products contacting my skin so that my medicine will do its job. I had been using Skintimate shave gel for years, after experimenting with soaps, body washes, and dry electric razors. Suddenly, I could not use any of the Skintimate products sold in stores. This shave cream has all the pros I liked about the shave gels without any salicylates.

I love this product!! Local stores near me stopped selling the cream, and the gel is slimy and doesn't compare to the softness I get with this cream. I have tried all types of shaving creams/gels, including Philosophy's Razor Sharp and a "Milk" brand...I would choose this cream over anything I have tried. I was thrilled to discover this product at drugstore.com! (I am surprised that anyone would complain about this wonderful cream.)

I have used this product for five years, nothing else can compare. It smells great, lathers perfectly, and never irritates. I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin and find that the gels further irritate my skin. I highly recommend this product.

A little goes a long way, which is nice, but it's too thin for me to consider buying it again. I don't feel particularly protected from nicks with this stuff and it doesn't leave me as soft as lotions and gels do (Skintimate does make good shaving gels, though). The good thing is it does not clog up my razor- the way shaving LOTIONS do. It rinses clean. For the price it's alright.

This shave cream with glycerin is the best. It's much more luxurious than the gel, or any other shaving cream I have tried. I love the smell too. I won't buy anything else.

I love the way this shave gel feels and smells. It helps keep the nicks and cuts down, and my legs feel so smooth afterwards. I almost don't have to use lotion! I recommend this to any woman.

I disagree about going for the GEL instead of the CREAM. I find the cream to have a richer, more luxurious and, well, creamy texture that makes shaving smooth and comfortable. This product does a pretty good job of moisturizing, especially during the dry winter months when I need it most. However, at those driest times of year, I usually find that I need to use a separate lotion moisturizer in addition to this shave cream (I have yet to find a shaving cream that can really replace the need for lotion altogether). This cream gives a close shave and I don't get razor burn or bumps using it on my legs or underarms. Overall, a good value and a comfortable shave.
